"Industri 4.0 telah menjadi isu global di dunia, pemerintah Indonesia merespon isu tersebut dengan meluncurkan peta jalan Making Indonesia 4.0 untuk merevitalisasi industri di Indonesia yang menunjukan trend penuruan kontribusi PDB nasional. Pada peta jalan tersebut, salah satu prioritas adalah memberdayakan industri kecil dan menengah (IKM) melalui teknologi, namun belum dijelaskan strategi kebijakan dalam mendorong daya saing IKM melalui penerapan teknologi. Untuk mencapai tujuan implementasi industri 4.0, lean manufacturing menjadi way of thinking dalam menentukan strategi implementasi. Kombinasi penerapan lean manufacturing dan industri 4.0 sanggup meningkatkan performa IKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan membangun model ilustrasi implementasi industri 4.0 dengan pendekatan lean manufacturing di IKM dengan menggunakan metode sistem dinamis, sehingga dapat diketahui stretagi kebijakan yang tepat dalam memberdayakan IKM melalui teknologi. Model tersebut dikembangkan juga untuk melihat keterkaitan antar faktor-faktor dan faktor kunci yang berdampak pada proses implementasi industri 4.0. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan memperlihatkan bahwa dukungan manajemen adalah faktor kunci dari implementasi industri 4.0 di IKM, serta terlihat bahwa dengan terus menerapkan industri 4.0 dengan pendekatan lean manufacturing dapat meningkatkan daya saing IKM. Strategi kebijakan yang diambil oleh pemerintah harus dapat membentuk ekosistem perbaikan berkelanjutan dengan melibatkan dukungan manajemen, keterbukaan terhadap perubahan serta budaya di IKM tersebut.

Industry 4.0 has become a global issue in the world, Indonesian government responded this issue by launching the road map of Making Indonesia 4.0 to revitalize industry in Indonesia which shows a declining trend in the contribution of national GDP. In the road map, one of the priorities is to empower SMIs through technology, but the policy strategy has not been described in accelerating the competitiveness of SMIs through the adoption of technology. To achieve the goal of industry 4.0 implementation, lean manufacturing becomes the way of thinking in determining the implementation plan. The combination of lean manufacturing and industry 4.0 application could improve the performance of SMIs. This study aims to build an illustrative model of industry 4.0 implementation in SMIs with lean manufacturing approach using system dynamics methods to identify the right policy structure in empowering SMIs through technology. The model was also developed to see the interrelationship between the key factors and factors that have an impact on the industry 4.0 implementation process. The results of the research conducted show that management support is key factor to implement the industry 4.0 in SMIs and it seen that continuing to implement industry 4.0 with lean manufacturing approaches can improve the competitiveness of SMIs. The policy strategy adopted by the government must be able to establish an ecosystem of continuous improvement by involving management support, openness to change and SMIs culture."

"This thesis aims to investigate the effects of FDI spillover on labor productivity of the firms in the five priority manufacturing sector industries in Indonesia, namely food and beverages, textiles, wearing apparel and footwear, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, electronics, and automotive and transport equipment industries. Using unbalanced firm-level data from 2000 to 2015, we find positive spillover effects in the horizontal linkages, which measure the presence of foreign firms on the labor productivity of local firms in the same industry. However, the effects of FDI on the labor productivity of domestic in backward linkages shows negative results, which means foreign buyers fail to give benefits to domestic suppliers. Moreover, the relationship between foreign suppliers and domestic buyers in the forward linkages also show negative spillover effects. These findings are also in line when the analyses are disaggregated into each industry, except for the electronics industry. Based on the different results of the three linkages of spillover effects, our findings suggest that the FDI spillover has not provided comprehensive benefits for local firms.

Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi efek spillovers dari FDI pada produktivitas tenaga kerja perusahaan di lima prioritas industry di Indonesia, yaitu makanan dan minuman, tekstil, pakaian jadi dan alas kaki, kimia dan farmasi, elektronik, dan otomotif dan peralatan transportasi. Menggunakan data tingkat perusahaan dari tahun 2000 sampai dengan 2015, kami menemukan pengaruh positif dari efek spillovers untuk keterkaitan horizontal, yang mengukur keberadaan perusahaan asing terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja perusahaan lokal di industri yang sama. Namun, efek FDI pada produktivitas tenaga kerja domestik dalam keterkaitan ke belakang menunjukkan hasil negatif, yang berarti perusahaan asing gagal memberikan manfaat kepada pemasok domestik. Selain itu, hubungan antara pemasok asing dan pembeli domestik dalam hubungan ke depan juga menunjukkan efek spillovers negatif. Temuan ini juga sejalan ketika analisis dipisahkan ke dalam setiap industri, kecuali untuk industri elektronik. Hasil yang berbeda dari tiga jenis keterkaitan spillovers menunjukkan bahwa FDI belum memberikan manfaat yang komprehensif untuk perusahaan lokal."

"Masalah kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja di bengkel pembuatan alas kaki diakibatkan oleh lemahnya manajemen risiko, sehingga dibutuhkan pengkajian risiko dalam rangka pengelolaan risiko. Penelitian ini berisi analisis risiko kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja di Bengkel Pembuatan Alas Kaki Tahun 2016. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai tingkat risiko kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja pada setiap tahapan proses produksi alas kaki. Penilaian risiko menggunakan metode W.T. Fine yaitu dengan menganalisis nilai konsekuensi, pajanan dan kemungkinan.Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa level risiko yang dimiliki pada setiap langkah kerja meliputi level very high yaitu bahaya kimia, level priority 1 yaitu bahaya ergonomi dan bahaya mekanik, level substantial yaitu desain kerja (housekeeping), level priority 3 yaitu bahaya kinetik dan acceptable yaitu bahaya psikososial.

Occupational health and safety problems in small and medium enterprises are caused by lack of risk management. This research aimed to assess the OHS risk level at five small shoes industries. Risk assessment was done by implementing W.T Fine method to analyze risk level by scoring the level of probability, exposure and consequence.

This study found that the risk of chemical hazard (solvent vapor from glue) was very high; the risk of ergonomic and mechanical hazard were categorized as priority 1, the risk of poor housekeeping was substantial; the risk of kinetic hazard was priority 3; and the risk of psychosocial hazards was acceptable."
