"Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT) merupakan isu yang masih terjadi di tengah masyarakat mengingat 1 dari 10 perempuan di Indonesia pada tahun 2016 masih mendapatkan perlakuan kekerasan oleh suaminya baik secara fisik, seksual, atau emosional. Studi empiris mengenai hubungan antara status kerja wanita terhadap kekerasan dalam rumah tangga memberikan kesimpulan yang tidak sama. Data Survei Pengalaman Hidup Perempuan Nasional (SPHPN) 2016 digunakan untuk membahas bagaimana pengaruh status kerja wanita berumur 15-64 tahun dan menikah terhadap kemungkinan kekerasan dalam rumah tangga di Indonesia melalui model probit. Hasil pada studi ini menemukan bahwa status kerja wanita yang bekerja ialah negatif dan signifikan. Seorang perempuan yang bekerja bisa mengurangi kemungkinan mendapatkan kekerasan oleh suaminya. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa bekerjanya wanita bisa menjadi alat bargaining untuk menurunkan kekerasan dengan melihat alternatif untuk bisa keluar dari pernikahan.

Domestic violence (KDRT) is an issue that still occurs in the community considering that 1 in 10 women in Indonesia in 2016 still received domestic violent treatment by their husbands, either physically, sexually, or emotionally. Empirical studies on the relationship between women's work status and domestic violence give different conclusions. Data from the 2016 National Women's Life Experience Survey/ Survei Pengalaman Hidup Perempuan Nasional (SPHPN) is used to discuss how the working status of women aged 15-64 years and currently married on the possibility of domestic violence in Indonesia through the probit model. The results of this study found that the working status of working women was negative and significant. A woman who works can reduce the chances of getting abused by her husband. This proves that the work of women can be a bargaining tool to reduce violence by looking at alternatives to get out of marriage."

"Konstruksi perempuan yang muncul dalam iklan, layar kaca, film maupun media lain menunjukkan salah satu karakter yang dimiliki oleh perempuan yang ideal adalah paras cantik atau menarik. Hal yang menjadi pertanyaan adalah, bagaimana dengan konstruksi sosial kecantikan perempuan yang bekerja di industri media (di belakang layar), apakah sama? Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Konstruksi Sosial dari Berger dan Luckmann. Dalam penelitian ini paradigma yang digunakan adalah konstruktivisme dan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam dengan pekerja perempuan khususnya mereka yang bekerja di belakang layar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Proses konstruksi sosial pada kecantikan perempuan yang bekerja di insitusi media terjadi melalui momen eksternalisasi, yaitu adanya anggapan bahwa bekerja di institusi media walaupun di belakang layar harus tetap memperhatikan penampilan wajah dan tubuh, lalu ada momen objektivasi yang terbagi dua yaitu karyawan perempuan merasa memang diperlukan untuk tampil menarik kapanpun itu dan sebaliknya merasa apabila tampilan menarik hanya diperlukan jika ada acara besar saja. Terakhir ada momen internalisasi yaitu proses sosialisasi melalui keluarga teman dan lingkunan sekitar yang terjadi pada setiap individu lalu kemudian hadir di momen eksternalisasi kembali.

The construction of women who appear in advertisements, television screens, films and other media shows that one of the characters possessed by the ideal woman is a beautiful or attractive face. The question is, what about the social construction of women's beauty working in the media industry (behind the scenes), is it the same? This study uses Social Construction theory from Berger and Luckmann. In this study the paradigm used is constructivism and using qualitative methods. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews with women workers, especially those who worked behind the scenes. The results showed that the social construction process on the beauty of women who work in media institutions occurs through moments of externalization, namely the assumption that working in a media institution even though behind the scenes must still pay attention to the appearance of the face and body, then there is a moment of objectivation divided into two, namely female employees feel it is necessary to look good whenever it is and vice versa feel that if an attractive appearance is only needed if there is a big event. Finally there is the moment of internalization, the process of socialization through family friends and the surrounding environment that occurs in each individual and then present at the moment of externalization again."
