This research is an evaluation of LoRa performance using the Simple Lora Protocol architecture with frequencies of 433 MHz and 915 MHz which are the ISM Band frequencies. Currently, not many people have adopted LoRa technology in Indonesia. However, in the future, many will use LoRa technology in the Internet of Things, such as smart cities. LoRa modulated transmission is strong against interference and can be received over long distances. LoRa is ideal for applications that transmit small data sizes, such as sensor data at low bit rates. In this case, the authors evaluate the performance of LoRa technology at 433 MHz and 915 MHz frequencies with Line of Sight (LoS) and Non-Line of Sight (Non-LoS) conditions at the University of Indonesia. Parameters evaluated are signal strength (RSSI), Signal Noise Ratio (SNR), and delay. This prototype device consists of a temperature and humidity sensor, a LoRa module as a transmitter and receiver of transmitted data, Arduino as an electronic circuit controller, and Thingsboard which is a cloud server for visualizing data. The results show that the prototype can run well in the second condition. At 433 MHz LoRa frequency has a range of up to 350 meters in LoS conditions and 150 meters in Non-LoS conditions. While the LoRa frequency of 915 MHz has a range of up to 200 meters in LoS conditions and 150 meters in Non-LoS conditions. Thus LoRa with a frequency of 433 MHz has a wider range than the frequency of 915 MHz. In addition, it is proven that the Simple LoRa protocol architecture can be used efficiently for IoT applications."

"We conducted a finite element simulation by using a computer program, ATENA, to verify the behavior of T-section reinforced concrete beams strengthened by bonded wire ropes in the negative moment region with a pretensioned initial prestressing force; we compared this behavior with that in experimental tests. The simulation was performed on five models consisting of one unstrengthened beam and beams strengthened by wire ropes with initial prestressing forces of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%. We found that the capacity of a flexural load had the ratios to the experimental results close to 1 — that is, 1.25, 1.16, 1.12, 1.01, and 1.10, for UB, SB1, SB2, SB3, and SB4, respectively. The ratios of effective stiffness, as the result of the simulation, to the experimental results were 1.45, 1.08, 1.76, 2.13, and 2.46 for UB, SB1, SB2, SB3, and SB4, respectively. We also observed that crack propagation developed in the finite element simulation indicated that all models underwent flexural failure."

"Genius has no race. Strength has no gender. Coruage has no limit. The phenomenal true story of the black female mathematicians at NASA whose calculations helped fuel some of America's greatest achievements in space. Before John Glenn orbited the earth or Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, some of the brightest minds of their generation, known as 'human computers', used pencils and adding machines to calculate the numbers that would launch rockets, and astronauts, into space. Starting in World War II and moving through to the Cold War, the civil rights movement, and the space race, Hidden Figures follows the interwoven accounts of Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson, Katherine Johnson, and Christine Darden, four African American women who participated in some of NASA's greatest successes. It chronicles their careers over nearly three decades they faced challenges, forged alliances, and used their intellect to change their own lives, and their country's future. It is a powerful and revelatory tale of race, discrimination and achievement in the modern world.
