Peluang yang baik terkait pertumbuhan di industri furnitur ini mendukung Kementrian Perindustrian dan HIMKI untuk mengembangkan pertumbuhan pasar industri furnitur dalam negeri dengan membuka toko-toko yang terklasifikasi ke dalam UMKM. Namun, terdapat masalah yang dialami oleh UMKM industri furnitur yaitu proses produksi masih dilakukan dengan teknologi sederhana dan manual yang berdampak pada postur canggung yang dimiliki pekerja. human-centred design (HCD) tahapan perancangan yang dilakukan akan mencari solusi pengembangan produk yang akan berfokus pada kebutuhan pengguna. Evaluasi terkait perancangan akan dibantu oleh

The increase in the consumption rate of household appliances has an impact on the high demand of furniture products and the percentage value of the GDP of furniture industry in Indonesia has increased by 8.16% on 2021. This growth opportunity in the furniture industry supports the Ministry of Industry and HIMKI to develop the domestic market by opening stores that are classified as SMEs. However, the production process is still carried out by simple and manual technologies, which has an impacted the workers to have awkward posture. Therefore, SME workers in the furniture industry have a risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders which have a negative impact on the health of the workers. This research aims to provide a work station designs that can improve workers posture and reduce the risk of WMSD. By using the human-centred design (HCD) method, designing product will focus on improving the product, based on user's needs. Evaluation related to the design will be assisted by digital human modeling to conduct REBA and PEI assessments. The results of the work station design such as adding height and components of the cutting table, ergonomic work chair and adjustable table are able to improve the posture of workers and reduce the risk of WMSD among furniture industry SMEs workers."
