(Mass Rapid Transit) berbasis rel.
pengembangan Transit-Oriented Development (TOD).
mempermudah aktivitas manusia, membantu manusia bekerja jarak jauh,
perubahan ruang kota pasca pembangunan MRT.
lingkungan hijau.

ABSTRACT
The number of vehicles has been increasing rapidly. This caused Jakarta citizen
takes a longer time to reach their destination due to the high traffic. The Government of
DKI Jakarta is developing mass transportation systems which is currently being
implemented. One of them is MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) rail-based that could impact the
cities that would be passed-through. Like many other cities in the world, the
government believe that MRT would eventually grow into the development of Transit-
Oriented Development (TOD) as well.
Actant is person or creature or object that have an active role in narrative. In
cyberspace, the movement of actant can be related with the presence of internet
technology to create space, accommodate human activities, support people to work
remotely, control the movement of people and goods, and enhance the economic value
of space. Besides of Internet technology, social dimensions influence the urban space
with humans as actor as well. Both actant and social dimension will be the ?agent of
change? in the urban space after the final phase of MRT development. The aim is to
achieve TOD concepts which lead to the proportional density of citizen, mixed functions,
the pedestrians-oriented circulation and public spaces, and the improvement of
environmental quality issues."

Space is a by-product of human interaction that can manifest as a physical substance, a mental substance, or even an idea. The existence of conceptualized space is formed by social processes that interrelates with its physical manifestation. Philosophically, space is produced and can be perceived through Lefebvre’s spatial triad; Spatial Practice, Representations of Space, and Representational Space. Spatial Practice is an idea of how space is actively produced within human practices (actions) that networks between politics, social practices, and physical reality. This thesis investigates how the production of space through spatial practice occurs in a social movement by analyzing the spatial occupation of the resistance by the inhabitants of Kapuk Poglar in February 2018."

"Who makes our cities, and what part do everyday users have in the design of cities? This book powerfully shows that city-making is a social process and examines the close relationship between the social and physical shaping of urban environments. With cities taking a growing share of the global population, urban forms and urban experience are crucial for understanding social injustice, economic inequality and environmental challenges. Current processes of urbanization too often contribute to intensifying these problems; cities, likewise, will be central to the solutions to such problems. Focusing on a range of cities in developed and developing contexts, Cities by Design highlights major aspects of contemporary urbanization: urban growth, density and sustainability; inequality, segregation and diversity; informality, environment and infrastructure. Offering keen insights into how the shaping of our cities is shaping our lives, Cities by Design provides a critical exploration of key issues and debates that will be invaluable to students and scholars in sociology and geography, environmental and urban studies, architecture, urban design and planning."

"How to Read Towns & Cities is a pocket-sized primer to understanding the forces that have shaped the world's cities. It takes a practical, highly visual approach -- showing us how to read the stories embedded in the fabric of the neighbourhoods, towns, and cities in which we live today. The fortunes of towns and cities rise and fall along with the fate of the civilisations to which they belong. Some are lost entirely, now no more than ruins; others have thrived as urban centres for millennia; and all contain vital clues embedded in their streets and skylines which reveal why their inhabitants grouped together, and tell of their unique social, political and cultural histories. Packed with plans, maps, and drawings, this book takes the reader on an international journey of discovery to explore the history of cities from our earliest urban origins to the contemporary world city -- from Babylon to Beijing, London to Paris, and from the skyscrapers of New York to the streets of their own home town. A must-read for anyone interested in history, cities, and travel, this fascinating book turns the reader into urban detective to see how our towns and cities grew the way they are."
