"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh parenting style terhadap resiliensi pada remaja dari keluarga miskin. Terdapat 213 remaja dari keluarga miskin yang terlibat sebagai partisipan penelitian. Mereka mengisi kuesioner parenting style yang dikembangkan oleh Lamborn et.al (1991) yaitu Parenting Style Questionnaire (PSQ) dan resiliensi diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur Resilience Scale 14 item (RS-14) yang dikembangkan oleh Wagnild dan Young (2009).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh parenting style yang signifikan terhadap resiliensi (Beta 0.293, sig. (p) = 0.000). Selain itu, melalui analisis tambahan, terdapat perbedaan mean parenting style yang signifikan pada jenis kelamin partisipan dan juga pada pekerjaan ibu.
This study was conducted to see the effect of parenting style on adolescent resilience of poor families. There were 213 adolescents from poor families who are involved as participants. They filled out questionnaires about parenting style was developed by Lamborn et.al (1991), that is Parenting Style Questionnaire (PSQ), and resilience is measured by using measuring devices Resilience Scale 14 item (RS-14) developed by Wagnild and Young (2009). Result showed that there was a significant effect of parenting style on the resilience (Beta 0.293, sig. (p) = 0.000). Through additional analysis, the mean differences of parenting styles were significant on gender participants and also the mother's occupation."

Pengukuran keterlibatan ayah menggunakan The Father Involvement and Nurturant Fathering Scales: Retrospectivemeasures for adolescent and adult yang dikembangkan oleh Finley dan Schwartz 2004. Sementara pengukuran efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier menggunakan Career Decision Self-Efficacy - Short Form yang dikembangkan Betz, Klein, dan Taylor 1996 . Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 120 orang remaja SMA yang berusia 15-17 tahun. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara keterlibatan ayah dengan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier r = 0.206 untuk Nurturant Father Involvement dan r=0.229 untuk Reported Father Involvement; p<0.05; two-tailed).

"Transisi, pencarian identitas, dan perubahan besar dalam segala aspek membuat remaja lebih rentan memiliki penyesuaian psikologis yang buruk. Sementara itu, penting bagi remaja memiliki penyesuaian psikologis yang baik karena melindungi mereka dari depresi, kecemasan, dan efek jangka panjang yang lebih besar. Faktor yang paling fundamental berhubungan dengan penyesuaian psikologis adalah Mindset. Akan tetapi, hubungan antara mindset dengan penyesuaian psikologis masih terbilang lemah-sedang. Peneliti berasumsi resiliensi menjadi faktor yang menjelaskan mekanisme hubungan tersebut, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan melihat peran resiliensi sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara mindset dan penyesuaian psikologis remaja. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 377 orang dengan rentang usia 12-18 tahun. Penyesuaian psikologis diukur menggunakan Brief Adjustment Scale–6 (BASE-6), Mindset diukur dengan Dweck Mindset Instrument (DMI), dan resiliensi diukur dengan Resiliency Scales for Children and Adolescents (RSCA). Melalui analisis mediasi ditemukan peran sense of mastery, sense of relatedness, dan emotional reactivity, sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara mindset dengan penyesuaian psikologis remaja secara penuh. Hasil ini memberikan implikasi bahwa peningkatan growth mindset perlu dibarengi dengan peningkatan terhadap resiliensi untuk menunjang penyesuaian psikologis yang baik pada remaja.
Transition, search for identity, and major changes in all aspects make adolescents more vulnerable to poor psychological adjustment. Meanwhile, it is important for adolescents to have a good psychological adjustment because it protects them from depression, anxiety, and greater long-term effects. The most fundamental factor related to psychological adjustment is Mindset. However, the relationship between mindset and psychological adjustment is still relatively weak to moderate. Researchers assume that resilience is a factor that explains the mechanism of this relationship, so this study aims to look at the role of resilience as a mediator in the relationship between mindset and adolescent psychological adjustment. There were 377 participants in this study with an age range of 12-18 years. Psychological adjustment was measured using the Brief Adjustment Scale-6 (BASE-6), Mindset was measured with the Dweck Mindset Instrument (DMI), and resilience was measured with the Resiliency Scales for Children and Adolescents (RSCA). Through mediation analysis it was found that the role of sense of mastery, sense of relatedness, and emotional reactivity, as mediators in the relationship between mindset and full psychological adjustment of adolescents. These results imply that an increase in growth mindset needs to be accompanied by an increase in resilience to support good psychological adjustment in adolescents."
