"Reed Solomon (RS) codes is a mechanism to detect and correct burst of errors in data transmission and storage systems.It provides a solid introduction to foundation mathematical concept of Galois Field algebra and its application. With thedevelopment of digital hardware technology, the RS concepts were brought into reality, i.e. the implementation of RScodec chips. This paper presents the development steps of a generic RS encoder using VHDL. The encoder is able tohandle generic width of data, variable length of information, number of error as well as variable form of primitivepolynomial and generator polynomial used in the system. The design has been implemented for FPGA chip XilinxXC3S200-5FT256 and has a better performance than commercially available equivalent encoder."

"ABSTRAKMisalkan F_q^n merupakan himpunan semua n-pasangan terurut n-tuple elemen yang setiap koordinatnya merupakan elemen dari lapangan F_q, maka sebuah kode linier C merupakan subruang dari F_q^n dan biasa ditulis sebagai kode [n,k,d]. Misalkan A dan B merupakan kode linier atas F_ q^m dengan panjang n, maka A,B disebut t-error correcting pair t-ECP untuk C jika A B perp;C, k A >t, d B^ perp; >t, dan d A d C >n. Dalam penelitian ini ditunjukkan bahwa kode MDS non-GRS dan kode AMDS [n,1,n-1] memiliki 1-error-correcting pair. Selain itu, ditunjukkan bahwa kode AMDS [n,n-1,1] tidak memiliki error-correcting pair.

Let A and B be linear codes over F q m with length n. Then A,B is called t error correcting pair t ECP for C if A B perp C, k A t, d B perp t, and d A d C n. This study shows that the non GRS MDS code and the AMDS n,1,n 1 code have 1 error correcting pair. This study also shows that the AMDS code n,n 1,1 has no error correcting pair."

Abstrak

Kebudayaan merupakan bentuk kehidupan berkembang serta dijadikan sebagai jati diri setiap masyarakat. Kebudayaan terbagi dalam beberapa unsur, salah satunya unsur bahasa. Penggunaan bahasa dapat disampaikan dalam bentuk lisan dan tulisan. Bahasa dalam bentuk tulisan salah satunya melalui lirik lagu. Lirik lagu mengandung bahasa-bahasa kiasan dan mempunyai makna tertentu pada tiap kata. Dalam penelitian ini, membahas estetika dan makna lagu lullaby karya Sujiwo Tejo. Estetika dalam lagu ini terlihat dari Purwakanthi dalam Puisi Jawa dan Majas. Makna dalam lagu lullaby karya Sujiwo Tejo mengandung nilai moral yaitu sebuah doa dan harapan orang tua kepada anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa budaya jawa yang menggunakan simbol atau pasemon untuk menyampaikan sesuatu secara implisit di berbagai seni kehidupannya, termasuk dalam seni musik yang mengandung unsur bahasa yang digambarkan dari lagu Lullaby karya Sujiwo Tejo yang mengandung nilai estetika dan nilai moral yaitu berisi doa dan harapan orang tua kepada anak.

Abstract

Culture is a total way of life that progressively develop and defines an identity for many societies. There are several elements of culture, one of which is language element. The use of language can be delivered in the form of oral and written language. One of the examples to analyze written language is by using song lyrics. Within the lyrics, there are figures of speech and deeper meaning behind the certain words to be examined further. This research analyzes the aesthetic value and meaning of the song Lullaby by Sujiwo Tejo. The aesthetic value in this song lyrics can be examined by using Purwakanthi in Javanese Poetry and Majas. Also, the meaning of the song Lullaby by Sujiwo Tejo points out the moral values, such as a prayer and hope from parents to their own child. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method. In this study, the findings show that Javanese culture utilizes symbols or pasemon to deliver the implicit message in the various artworks in recounting life, one of which is song lyrics, depicted in the Lullaby song by Sujiwo Tejo which represent aesthetics and moral values regarding the prayer and hope from parents to their own child.
