"Programmable power supply ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk merancang power supply yang dapat mengeluarkan tegangan secara otomatis. Programmable power supply ini terdiri dari bagian power supply unit (PSU) dan control system unit. Pada bagian PSU menggunakan trafo step down, rectifier, filter, voltage regulator, dan current booster. Untuk bagian control system unit digunakan microcontroller, motor servo, keypad, komunikasi RS232 dan solid state relay (SSR). Pengaturan tegangan secara otomatis dari programmable power supply ini terletak pada pengendalian motor servo oleh microcontroller untuk memutar potensiometer frictionless yang ada pada bagian voltage regulator. Programmable power supply ini telah dilengkapi dengan sistem perlindungan dari short circuit dan over temperature. Dari hasil pengujian disimpulkan bahwa programmable power supply ini dapat mengeluarkan tegangan dari 0 sampai 20 VDC dengan error ± 0,1 VDC dan arus hingga 10 A. Programmable power supply ini telah dapat dengan baik dioperasikan selama 1 hari.

This programmable power supply was design to generate a controllable supply voltage automatically. This programmable power supply consists of the power supply units (PSU) and system control unit. The PSU uses a step-down transformer, rectifier, filter, voltage regulator, and current booster. The control system unit uses a microcontroller, servo motor, keypad, RS232 communication and solid state relay (SSR). The process of automatic voltage setting of this programmable power supply is taken by the servo motor that is controlled by the microcontroller to turn the existing frictionless potentiometer on the voltage regulator. This programmable power supply system is equipped with a short circuit protection unit and over temperature unit. From several testings that have been carried-out, it is concluded that this programmable power supply can generate a voltage from 0 to 20 VDC with error of ± 0,1 VDC and generate current up to 10 A, and also can be operated well within one day."

Input saturation is an operating condition that is well known to the control community for its “side effects”, which cause conventional controllers to lose their closed-loop performance as well as control authority in stabilization.
