Ciletuh Geopark is located in Ciemas District, west of Sukabumi Regency, West Java, Indonesia. In Ciletuh Geopark there are Pre-Tertiary rocks exposed on the surface and there are also various kinds of structures formed due to tectonic movements in the southwest of Ciletuh Geopark. This research was conducted to delineate the existing structures in the Ciletuh Geopark, using the gravity method to map the gravitational anomaly caused by differences in density. In this study, analysis of First Horizontal Derivative (FHD) was used to determine the presence of the structure and Second Vertical Derivative (SVD) to determine the type of fault. In this study, dip estimation was also carried out using the Multi-Level Second Vertical Derivative (ML-SVD) method. After obtaining FHD, SVD, and ML-SVD data, it was then integrated with geological section data from the geological map of the Jampang Balekembang Sheet for making geological cross sections. The interpretation of the alleged fault has an orientation of Northwest – Southeast and Northeast – Southwest. In the interpretation of the alleged fault, a slicing line is used to determine the type of fault. The results of the study show that there is an interpretation of the alleged ascending and descending faults at the study site. In the integrated analysis, it was found that there was data that had conformity and did not match the geological map data with geophysical data."

ABSTRACT
Basic Geological Mapping, 5th Edition is an essential basic guide to field techniques in mapping geology. Now completely revised and updated the book retains the concise clarity which has made it an indispensable instant reference in its previous editions. It provides the reader with all the necessary practical information and techniques that they will need while carrying out work in the field, covering a wide spectrum of different conditions, needs and types of countries. This edition covers new developments in technology including Google Earth and the use of GPS. This is an ideal field guide to geological mapping for 2nd/3rd year undergraduates of Geology, Hydrogeology and Geological Engineering."

""An Introduction to Geological Structures & Maps is a concise text that leads the students in easy stages from the simplest ideas on geological structures right through to more advanced geological mapping techniques. The approach is designed to help students with little or no supervision: each new topic is simply explained and illustrated by figures, and exercises are set on successive maps. If students are unable to complete a problem, they can read on to obtain more specific instructions on how theory may be used to solve it." "This considerably enlarged seventh edition is even more user friendly and mirrors present trends in map syllabuses. It includes photographs that will add to the understanding of geological structures already illustrated by text-figures and block diagrams in the appendix. The appendix has been fully updated and now includes completed sections of all maps and solutions to the map problems, which enables the reader to check that his or her attempts have been successfully carried out."--"

The geological conditions greatly affect the level of disaster risk in an area. East Java is region with a high level of earthquake vulnerability. Therefore, there is need for regional subsurface structure studies as an earthquake disaster mitigation effort. The purpose of this study is to determine the shear wave velocity model, bedrock depth and the shear wave velocity distribution, natural frequency, amplification factor, and seismic vulnerability index. Seismic signals are obtained from portable and stationary seimograph installed in East Java and Madura. This study uses the horizontal and vertical spectrum ambient noise inversion method (HVSR). One-dimensional share wave velocity  models are obtained from Monte Carlo search simulations based on the best misfit values. The results showed that Vs30 East Java values ranged from 168-788 m/s with sediment thickness ranging from 10 meters to more than 200 meters. Classification of soil types based on SNI 1726: 012 varies from the type of soft soil (SE) to hard rock (SA). Index Seismic vulnerability varies from 0,23 to 64,44. The northern part of East Java, especially in the Kendeng zone, has a higher risk of earthquake disaster. The area includes Lumajang, Malang, Pasuruan, Mojokerto, Madiun, Sidoarjo, Surabaya, Gresik, Jombang, Ponorogo, Bangkalan, and Sampang."
