"Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang kegiatan menyimpan dan ruang penyimpanan dalam ruang hidup Orang Laut dari perspektif keseharian, sebagai taktik yang dilakukan dalam ruang yang terbatas. Dalam ruang hidupnya yang terbatas di dalam sampan, Orang Laut menggunakan ruang sampannya dengan membawa peralatan untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Penulisan skripsi ini mempelajari kegiatan menyimpan dan ruang penyimpanan yang terjadi sebagai bagian dari interioritas, dalam konteks vernakular Orang Laut. Penelusuran dilakukan melalui studi literatur dan observasi langsung pada bulan Juni - Juli 2019 dalam kegiatan Ekskursi Orang Laut UI 2019 terhadap Orang Laut di daerah Tajur Biru, Lingga, Kepulauan Riau. Dengan cara hidup yang berpindah di alam, mereka menyusun peralatan tersebut dengan taktis sehingga terdapat suatu pola yang muncul berdasarkan kebutuhan dari setiap kegiatan, intensitas penggunaan, ukuran, serta zonasi basah dan kering, baik secara vertikal maupun horizontal dengan bergantian dalam waktu.

This article aims to explore the activities of storing and storage in the living space of the Orang Laut from the perspective of everyday life, as the tactics carried out in such a limited space. In such a limited space, Orang Laut uses its sampan to carry equipment for their daily needs away from the land. The writing of this article studies the activities of storing and storage that occur as part of interiority within the vernacular context of Orang Laut. The observation was carried out through literature studies and field study in June - July 2019 in the “Ekskursi Arsitektur UI 2019: Orang Laut” in the Tajur Biru, Lingga, Riau Islands. The fingdings of this study suggest that they store their everyday stuff and the equipment tactically based on the needs of each activity, constituting a storage pattern based on the intensity of use, size, and zoning of wet and dry area, both vertically and horizontally with turns in time."
