"Terdapat berbagai macam kelas material yang dapat memberikan sifat atau karakteristik seperti feroelektrisitas dan piesoelektrisitas, yang mana pertama kali dipopulerkan pada tahun 1920. Kedua sifat ini dihasilkan oleh modulasi yang terdapat pada struktur kristal. Sejak itu, para ilmuan berusaha memahami asal muasal dari modulasi struktur. Hasil dalam percobaan membuktikan bahwa modulasi struktur menunjukan hamburan baur pada pola difraksi elektron atau pola deviasi berkas elektron. Dengan demikian, untuk lebih memahami sifat-sifat tersebut, adalah penting untuk mengerti dasar dari sebuah hamburan baur. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) memungkinkan untuk didapatkan nya hasil maupun penyelidikan data dalam bentuk ruang timbal balik dengan mengumpulkan pola-pola difraksi elektron yang diambil dengan pengaturan ukuran langkah kemiringan yang konstan pada sebuah sumbu sembarang. Keunggulan mengunaan TEM adalah kemapuan alat ini untuk menghasilkan distribusi hamburan baur yang lebih terpercaya keabsahannya untuk tujuan eksplorasi yang lebih sistematik, dikarenakan oleh kemampuan untuk menggabungkan teknik pemolaan objek lemah berkepekaan tinggi pada ruang timbal balik dengan sebuah alat yang memiliki jangkauan sudut miring yang besar. Oleh sebab itu, proyek percobaan ini berusaha untuk menghasilkan pola difraksi elektron yang akan digabungkan dalam permodelan 3 dimensi kemudian mengivestigasi hasil tersebut.

There are classes of material that can provide substantial properties like ferroelectric and piezoelectricity, which initially became popular way back in 1920. These properties exhibited from a modulation in their crystal structure. Ever since, scientists are trying to understand the origin of this modulated structure. Experimentally, modulated generates diffuse scattering in diffraction pattern. Thus to understand more about the properties, firstly it is important to understand the diffuse. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) allows generation as well as inspection of data in reciprocal space by collecting the electron diffraction pattern in fixed tilt steps around an arbitrary axis. The advantage of using electron diffraction in TEM is the ability of producing more systematic exploration with reliable diffuse scattering distribution by joining high sensitivity of weak features in reciprocal space patterning technique with a wide angular tilting range instrument. Therefore this experimental project tries to work with electron diffraction on producing pattern data to be combine 3D model and further investigate the result."
