"Given the size of China and its global importance, the book then review s China?s current energy situation and fills the gaps in the literature for those who are interested in and concerned about China?s economic development and energy reform in the new millennium.
The book is different from previous studies in several important ways. Firstly, it presents recent, pioneering research rather than a simple textbook, several sections of which have been published in high-quality energy journals. Secondly, subdivides China's energy intensity change into aspects of budget constraint, technological change, factor substitution, energy demand and economic growth using a newly developed econometric approach. Thirdly, it provides many new and different econometric findings and derives many new policy implications for China's energy economy. And lastly, it brings to light a wealth of new knowledge for those who are interested in China's energy economy, the world energy market and global environmental and climate change issues.

This study presents an assessment of Indonesia's energy security performance through measuring its energy security index for 2014 to 2018. This study conceptualizes energy security as consisting of five dimensions: availability, affordability, accessibility, acceptability, and efficiency. This dimension was chosen through a study of the concept of energy security which was widely used in the past. These dimensions are arranged into 8 indicators used to assess energy security. This study analyzes ASEAN +6 countries to assess energy security performance, especially Indonesia. Indicators are normalized using the minimum method and weighting based on the same weighting. Based on the analysis, Indonesia's energy security performance shows a positive upward trend. With the availability dimension as Indonesia's leading dimension and the affordability dimension as Indonesia's weakest dimension. The results show that Indonesia is in 2nd place in the ASEAN region, only below Singapore and 5th in the ASEAN +6 region."

"[The world over, clusters are home to leading firms and institutions that compete on the edge of technology. They can be found in developed and developing countries alike and comprise such famous ones as Silicon Valley, London is financial center, ceramic tile and fashion in north Italy, wine in Bordeaux, automotive in Stuttgart and Munich, software in Bangalore, and manufacturing in China is Pearl-river delta. Today they are studied by a variety of scholars from different fields including economists, social scientists, and strategists, but also by a growing number of business practitioners and policy makers. 3 As a result, knowledge on the capacity of clusters to promote regional economic development and national prosperity and the role of local industrial policy in creating new clusters has increased rapidly in recent years The present research is best described as being exploratory in nature. It elaborates and extends existing theory. By doing so, it takes up a distinct position within scientific theory that is defined by three levels of analysis : (1) the meta-methodological level, (2) the methodological level, and (3) the theoretical level., The world over, clusters are home to leading firms and institutions that compete on the edge of technology. "[This work is an exploration of the global market dynamics, their intrinsic natures, common trends and dynamic inter-linkages during the stock market crises over the last twelve years. The study isolates different phases of crisis and differentiates between any crisis that remains confined to the region and those that take up a global dimension. The latent structure of the global stock market, the inter-regional and intra-regional stock market dynamics around the crises are analyzed to get a complete picture of the structure of the global stock market. The study further probing into the inherent nature of the global stock market in generating crisis finds the global market to be chaotic thus making the system intrinsically unstable or at best to follow knife-edge stability. The findings have significant bearing at theoretical level and on policy decisions., This work is an exploration of the global market dynamics, their intrinsic natures, common trends and dynamic inter-linkages during the stock market crises over the last twelve years. "[The subject of this book is discussing the income inequality of Chinese residents, its change and the factors that impact it. In this book all kinds of quantitative methods, including decomposing Gini Coefficients method, Fei-Ranis method, two-sectors model and other econometric models. Some special features are that in this book, a two-sectors model was set up to analyze the impact of population migration from urban areas to rural areas on income inequality of total residents, and the inverted U hypothesis was tested by time-series regression model. The inverted U hypothesis is supported by the change of income inequality of Chinese total residents which is different from the conclusion of present reaches. In additional, the impact of rent-seeking income on inequality was discussed, an economic mode was founded to explain the causes of rent-seeking activities in China’s present stage., The subject of this book is discussing the income inequality of Chinese residents, its change and the factors that impact it.
