"The research was conducted at educational tools companies to obtain with the effect of cohesiveness, leadership style and organizational culture on organizational effectiveness, , by using a survey methods with path analysis applied in testing hypothesis. The amount of 417 companies selected by simple random sampling with 120 samples and each sample was represented by its director or owner to fill the data. The research reveals that : 1) there is a direct positive effect of cohesiveness on organizational culture; 2) there is a direct positive effect of cohesiveness on organizational effectiveness; 3) there is a direct positive effect of leadership style on organizational culture; 4) there is a positive direct effect of leadership style on organizational effectivenes; and 5) there is a positive direct effect of organizational culture on organizational effectivenes. Due to this findings it could be drawn that 6) there is a indirect positive effect of cohesiveness on organizational effectivenes through organizational culture; and 7) there is an indirect positive effect of leadership style on organizational effectivenes through organizational culture. The result explain that the cohesiveness, leadership style, organizational culture are the variances of organizational effectiveness. Therefore, it implies that the organizational effectivenes can be improved by developing the cohesiveness, leadership style, organizational culture."

"The objectives of the research is ti know the implementation of policy and implementation of the research program and the public service at Higher Education (HE). The research method is the mixed of quantitative and qualitative methods with a descriptive analysis. Sample of the research is 160 respondents taken purposively of head and members of the research and public service instutions at public and private of HE. The research was conducted for 7 months from April to October 2008 at six provinces : West Nusa Tenggara province , Bali province, Special Yogyakarta province, west Sumatera provine, and South Sumatera provine. Tools and the techniques of data collecting are using documentation study, questionnaries, interview and focus group discussion. Primary data is the information from the resource persons from HE while the secondary data is taken from the the documents about the rules as well as the laws and the related research done by other people. The findings of the research are : 1) the policy of research program and the public service at HE is based on the general policy of the HE Directorate, Ministry of National Education; 2) the implementation of policy in improving quality of HE still has constrains such as the instutions of research and public service are still sparate, the socialization of programs of public service is still low, and most lectures at HE are still lack of having research methodology; 3) the research findings of both public and private HE can be implemented to develop and improve science. However, there has a few of the research findings that can be used for improving teaching and learning materaials for higher education, very few of national as well international publications, and very few of having patent rights; and 4) the activities in public service are not based on the findings of the research yet. "

"Perencanaan transportasi melibatkan proses sequential yang terdiri dari bangkitan perjalanan, sebaran perjalanan, pemilihan moda dan pembebanan perjalanan yang lebih dikenal dengan four-step model. Four-step model telah banyak digunakan dan diaplikasikan dalam penelitian dan perencanaan transportasi. Tahap pertama dari proses ini adalah menghitung bangkitan perjalanan. Umumnya perhitungan bangkitan perjalanan hanya mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor sosio-ekonomi suatu daerah. Namun seiring dengan berkembangnya ilmu transportasi, perhitungan bangkitan perjalanan juga memperhatikan faktor aksesibilitas perjalanan. Pada tahun 2003 Kota Yogyakarta telah melakukan Studi tentang Jaringan Transportasi Jalan. Dalam studi tersebut model bangkitan perjalanan hanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel sosio ekonomi. Pada tahap ini, variabel aksesibilitas tidak dimasukkan sebagai salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap permintaan perjalanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh aksesibilitas terhadap permintaan perjalanan di Kota Yogyakarta. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan model Extending Evans Combined Distribution and Assignment untuk memperoleh nilai aksesibilitas dan membandingkan hasil model bangkitan perjalanan dengan dan tanpa variabel aksesibilitas menggunakan uji statistik.Hasik penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel aksesibilitas mempunyai pengaruh yang cukup signifikan terhadap permintaan perjalanan di Kota Yogyakarta selain variabel jumlah penduduk dan jumlah kendaraan bermotor serta persamaan regresi yang dihasilkan dengan menggunakan variabel aksesibilitas memberikan basil yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan persamaan regresi yang hanya memasukkan jumlah penduduk dan jumlah kendaraan bermotor sebagai variabel bebasnya.Dengan mengetahui pengaruh aksesibilitas terhadap permintaan perjalanan diharapkan fenomena induced demand/induced travel dapat ditangkap sehingga dapat dilakukan kajian Travel Demand Management yang lebih komprehensif di Kota Yogyakarta."
