"One night stand sex adalah berhubungan seksual dengan seseorang baik yang sudah dikenal maupun yang belum dikenal sebelumnya sebanyak satu kali. Ada berbagai motivasi yang mendasari seseorang untuk melakukan hal ini. Kleinginna & Kleinginna (1981) mengatakan bahwa motivasi merupakan suatu kondisi internal yang berfungsi untuk mengaktivasi atau memicu munculnya suatu perilaku dan mengarahkan tingkah laku tersebut (dalam Huitt, 2001).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai motivasi wanita dewasa muda untuk melakukan one night stand sex. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam tipe studi kasus, yaitu studi mengenai suatu fenomena khusus yang hadir dalam suatu konteks yang terbatasi, dimana kasus itu dapat berupa individu, peran, kelompok kecil, organisasi, komunitas, atau bahkan suatu bangsa (Poerwandari, 2005). Pengumpulan data dilakukan terhadap tiga wanita dewasa muda yang bertujuan untuk menggali pengalaman one night stand sex mereka.Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan beberapa motivasi yang mendasari wanita dewasa muda melakukan one night stand sex adalah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan afeksi dan penerimaan dari lingkungan pertemanan.

One night stand sex is a one time sexual intercourse with a person, whether they know each other or not. There are several motivations that encourage a person to perform this act. Kleinginna & Kleinginna (1981) stated that motivation is an internal condition that function to activate or trigger a behavior and direct that behavior (in Huitt, 2001).The purpose of this research is to obtain a preview about the motivation of young adulthood women when they perform a one night stand sex. This research is included into a case study type, which is a study about a particular fenomena that appear in limited context, where a case could appear in a form of a person, role, small group, organization, community, or even the whole nation (Poerwandari, 2005). The data collecting process is performed to three young adulthood women, to gain the informations about their one night stand sex experiences.The result of this research reveals several motivations that encourage young adulthood women to perform one night stand sex, which are to fulfill their need of afection and need of acceptance or belongingness from their peer group."

One night stand sex is considered to be one form of sexual relationship committed by one with another, a stranger or not, for one time only.This research is aiming to gain a description of justifications from young women who comitted one night stand sex. It is a case study type of research, which is concerning a special phenomenon appeared in a limited context. Data is gathered from two young women in order to recorded the statements of justification for their behaviors.Result from this research showed some techniques of neutralization based on theory by Sykes & Mata (1968), among others are their effort to obtain approvals for their deviance behaviors, reasons in doing deviancies, namely are feeling as victim of their miserable parents who do not love them, also the environment that is not friendly and influencing in a worse way."
