"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasi bagaimana peran pustakawan dalam Pengembangan koleksi di Perpustakaan Fasilkom UI, serta mengidentifikasi kendala dalam dalam pelaksanannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pustakawan Perpustakaan Fasilkom UI. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pustakawan selain melakukan kegiatan pengembangan koleksi sesuai dengan prosedur, mereka juga proaktif dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan dan menunjukan ciri pustakawan yakni mendidik, memimpin, mengevaluasi dan mengorganisasi. Kendala yang dihadapi pustakawan diantaranya lamanya pengiriman bahan perpustakaan beserta human error.

This study aims to determine and identify the role of librarians in the procurement of University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Computer Science Library, as well as to identify the obstacles in its implementation. This study used a qualitative approach with case study method. Informants in this study are the librarians of The University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Computer Science Library.

The results of this study indicate that the librarians, in addition to conducting procurement activities in accordance with established procedures, they are also became proactive in the implementation of the collection procurement activities and shows the librarian characteristics such as educating, leading, evaluating, and coordinating functions. The problems that are faced by the librarians are the duration of delivery of library materials and human error."
