"Sebuah merek mewakili nilai fungsional, nilai kesenangan, nilai simbolik yang merefleksikan karakter dari seorang pembeli, citra negara asal yang memperlihatkan kecakapan produsennya. Itu semua membuat sebuah produk mudah "terbaca".
Untuk dapat menyelediki pengaruh dari citra negara asal pada persepsi kualitas konsumen, maka keempat merek notebook-Acer, Toshiba, MacBook Apple dan Zyrex dibandingkan. Responden penelitian ini adalah yang memiliki notebook yang asli dan bukan barang bekas atau barang ilegal karena dianggap tidak dapat mewakili kondisi asli produk. Pertanyaan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Adakah pengaruh citra negara asal terhadap persepsi kualitas konsumen?, (2) Apakah terdapat perbedaan citra negara tempat asal merek notebook pada masing-masing merek?, (3) Apakah terdapat perbedaan persepsi kualitas pada masing-masing merek produk notebook?.
Penelitian ini menggunaakan metode survei. Kemudian struktur model dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi sederhana. Untuk memastikan perbedaan masingmasing merek, dalam penelitian ini juga dilakukan uji One Way Anova untuk mengetahui perbedaan analisis dalam populasi. Bonferroni juga digunakan untuk melihat lebih jauh merek mana yang berbeda dari merek yang lain.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) terdapat pengaruh citra negara asal terhadap persepsi kualitas konsumen dalam korelasi positif yang searah. Hal ini menunjukkan sebuah citra negara asal yang tinggi akan meningkatkan persepsi kualitas konsumen.. (2) terdapat perbedaan citra negara tempat asal merek notebook pada masing-masing merek. (3) terdapat perbedaan persepsi kualitas pada masing-masing merek produk notebook.
Implikasi penelitian ini adalah penggunaan strategi penamaan merek dapat membantu untuk meningkatkan penjualan dengan menyebutkan asal negara atau meletakkan label ?made-in? produk. Untuk produk Indonesia yang bertujuan untuk memenangkan persaingan industri dapat memberikan nama asing untuk dapat menarik perhatian konsumen dan mencapai citra produk yang lebih baik.

In tegnology market, a brand name play the important role in consumer?s purchase decision, so is country of origin. A brand name represent functional value, pleasure value and symbolic values as a reflection of buyers?s self image; country of origin image address the producer?s competences. The whole of those makes a product easier to "read".
To explore the effect of country of origin on perceived quality consumen, four brands of notebook-Acer, Toshiba, MacBook Apple and Zyrex are compared. The research used survey method with subjects to have the original products of particular brand-not second hand products and/or not black market goods-to make sure the validity of answers about the brands. These research questions is: (1) is there impact from country of origin on consumer perceived quality?, (2) are there differences of country of origin among each brands?, (3) are there differences of perceived quality among each brands?.
These reseach use survey method. Model structure will be tested by singleregression. To measure the difference among the brands, the research also conducted One Way Anova test to know the variance analysis in the population area. Bonferroni also used to find out which brand(s) differ from other.
Based on research question, the research indicates the following result: (1) there is impact from country of origin image on consumer perceived quality in positive linear direction. It showed that high country of origin image increase consumer perceived quality. (2) there are differences of country of origin image among each brands. (3) there are differences of country of origin of consumer perceived quality among each brands.
The implication from the result reseach is brand-naming strategy can help to increase sales by mentioning in the home-country or put the ?made-in? label on products. For Indonesian?s products in the purpose to survive or even win the competiton in industry companies may considered to give foreign brand name to attract consumer?s attention and achieve a better product image."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memajukan kerangka kerja konseptual yang menjelaskan pengaruh country of origin image pada purchase intention konsumen dengan peran moderasi consumer ethnocentrism yang secara eksplisit dimodelkan dan diuraikan. Consumer ethnocentrism (CE) diuji sebagai faktor moderasi antara country of origin image dan perceived brand prestige, dan antara country of origin image dan perceived product quality, dan antara country of origin image dan purchase intention. Model yang diusulkan memberikan kesaksian tentang hasil penelitian kuantitatif dalam survei yang dilakukan dengan metode convenience sampling yang menargetkan konsumen Generasi Y yang telah menggunakan produk perawatan kulit wajah di Indonesia, yaitu 303 responden. Survey online menggunakan Google Form dengan cara snowball melalui chat Whatsapp. Analisis data digunakan Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif country of origin image terhadap perceived brand prestige, perceived product quality, dan purchase intention konsumen. penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa perceived product quality berpengaruh signifikan terhadap purchase intention. Selain itu, consumer ethnocentrism mengurangi hubungan positif antara country of origin image dan perceivd product quality serta mengurangi perceived brand prestige. Temuan penelitian ini juga menyiratkan bahwa pemasar harus membangun strategi pemasaran yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan purchase intention konsumen Indonesia

This research aims to advance a conceptual framework that illuminates the impact of country of origin image on consumer’s purchase intention with moderating roles of consumer ethnocentrism which is explicitly modelled and decomposed. Consumer ethnocentrism (CE) was tested as a moderating factor between country of origin image and perceived brand prestige and between country of origin image and perceived product quality. The proposed model testified drawing on the results of quantitative research in a survey conducted on a convenience sample targeting Generation Y consumers who have used facial skin care products in Indonesia, that is 202 respondents. An online survey using Google Form is conducted with snowball manner via Whatsapp chat. Data was analyzed by using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicated that there was a positive impact of country of origin image on perceived brand prestige, perceived product quality and consumers’ purchase intention. Moreover, this study also found that perceived product quality has significant effect on purchase intention. Furthermore, consumer ethnocentrism has no moderating effect on purchase intention. The findings also implied that marketers should build a suitable marketing strategy to increase consumers’ purchase intentions"

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai pengaruh customer perceived value terhadap loyalitas konsumen pada pelanggan IM3. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana customer perceived value mempengaruhi loyalitas konsumen, dan dari dimensi fungsional, sosial, serta emosional, dimensi mana yang paling mempengaruhi loyalitas konsumen pada pelanggan IM3. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah pelanggan IM3 yang pernah mengunjungi Galeri Indosat dan pernah menggunakan fasilitas internet IM3.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh dari customer perceived value terhadap loyalitas konsumen pada pelanggan IM3, namun tidak semua dimensi pada customer perceived value ikut mempengaruhi loyalitas. Dari ketiga dimensi yang ada, hanya dimensi atau nilai sosial yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap loyalitas konsumen. Sedangkan, dua nilai lainnya yaitu nilai fungsional dan nilai emosional tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap loyalitas konsumen.

This research examines the effect of customer perceived value to customer loyalty among IM3 customers. The purpose of this research is to know how customer perceived value affects consumer loyalty, and which amongst functional, social, and emotional value affect the consumer loyalty in IM3 customer the most. This research adopts quantitative method. The research subject is IM3 customer who has been to Galeri Indosat and has used the IM3 internet facility.
The result of this research is customer perceived value affects the customer loyalty of IM3 customer, but not all factors of customer perceived value is significantly affecting the customer loyalty. Out of three factors, there is only social value that has significant effect to customer loyalty, whereas the other two factors, functional value and emotional value, doesn?t affect the customer loyalty significantly.

"Seiring dengan meningkatnya penetrasi internet di Indonesia, peningkatan tersebut juga turut mendorong orang-orang di Indonesia untuk    menggunakan berbagai macam produk dan layanan berbasis internet khususnya media sosial seperti Instagram. Di tengah peluang yang tersedia ini, bisnis yang sekarang sedang diminati untuk menunjang gaya hidup seperti merek sepatu lokal dapat memanfaatkan peluang tersebut dengan menggunakan fitur iklan yang dipersonalisasi yang ada di Instagram. Penelitian kuantitatif ini dilaksanakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh iklan yang dipersonalisasi melalui variabel perceived personalization dan self-expressive brand yang mana diprediksi dapat mempengaruhi perceived quality dan brand loyalty merek sepatu lokal yang beriklan di Instagram. Sebanyak 386 responden yang merupakan pengguna Instagram dan juga konsumen dari empat merek sepatu lokal diperoleh menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan dianalisis menggunakan permodelan Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perceived personalization dan self-expressive brand dalam konteks iklan yang dipersonalisasi berpengaruh terhadap consumer brand engagement dan brand attachment yang dimana kedua faktor ini juga mempengaruhi perceived quality, dan juga hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan brand attachment dan perceived quality mempengaruhi brand loyalty.

Along with the increasing level of internet penetration in Indonesia, the current developments encourage people to familiarize and adopts variety of internet-based products and service especially Instagram as social media in Indonesia. Amidst these opportunities, businesses that are particularly preferred in current lifestyle like local footwear brand can take advantage by being present on Instagram to foster their relationship with their consumers through personalised advertisement. This quantitative research is constructed to analyse the effectiveness of personalised advertisement by proposing key driver namely perceived personalization and selfexpressive brands that predicts consumer brand engagement, brand attachment and its effect towards perceived quality and brand loyalty. A total of 386 respondents that are Instagram users and consumers of four local footwear brand were collected using purposive sampling method and the data was processed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings suggest that perceived personalization and self-expressive brand within personalised advertisement affect the consumer's brand engagement and brand attachments. Whereby, consumer brand engagement and brand attachment play an important role on affecting the perceived quality. Lastly Brand attachment and perceived quality also found to influence the consumer's loyalty toward a brand."

With market this big, there?ll be positive increase of technology industry about 14 percent in 2010. Risk factor affecting the Company is: global markets for personal computers, and related peripherals and service are highly competitive and subject to rapid technological change. If the company is unable to compete effectively in these markets, its financial condition and operating results could be materially adversely affected. This under score the problem on how experiential marketing effecting the word of mouth behavior of Macintosh consumer.
Research of experiential marketing based on Bern H. Schmitt book Experiential Marketing: how to get your customers to sense, feel, think, act, and relate to your company and brand, the Free Press, 1999. Experiential marketing as independent variable measure by five dimensional: sense, feel, think, act, and relate. The dependent variable is word of mouth have three dimensional that become one variable measurable: costumer satisfaction, opinion leadership, and contiguous product.
Research method use survey to observe sample (Millis id-Mac), that use non probability sampling method for 78 respondent. To measure this research use semantic differential scale 1 for negative pole and 7 for positive pole. To analyze survey result use SPSS 12, confirmatory factor analysis and multiple linier regression.
Respondent descriptive result show that MacBook have the bigger market that other type of Mac. As for result experiential marketing have two significant dimensional: think and act, both dimensional have high score for significant outcome.
This research conclusion, that experiential marketing have significant effect on word of mouth behavior for Macintosh consumer. Thou relate did not have such same result, it because the majority of market shares from creative professional has been place with personal user and education.

"In technology market, a brand name represents functional value, pleasure value, and symbolic values as a reflection of buyer's self-image; prices measure its monetary value; country-of-origin image address the producer's competences. The whole of those makes a product easier to 'read'. To explore the effect of brand credibility and country-of-origin image on consumer price sensitivity, four brands of notebook 'Toshiba, Acer, MacBook Apple, and Zyrex- were compared. The research used survey method. The subjects were students of 10 faculties in University of Indonesia Depok. The research also required the subjects to have the original products of particular brand 'not second-hand products and/or not black-markets goods- to make sure the validity of answers about the brands.
Data from survey research conducted were analyzed by using multipleregression method and One-Way Anova method. Before conducted the analysis, it measured the reliability and validity to indicate each variable constructs. And then model structure was tested by multiple-regression method. The examination showed relationship among some the indicators in a variable. Examination to determine individual relation strength and also various tested hypothesis. To measure the difference among the brands, the research also conducted One-Way Anova test to know the variance analysis in the population area. Bonferroni test also used to find out which brand(s) differ from another.
The research indicated the following results: (1) there was impact from brand credibility on consumer price sensitivity in positive-linier directions, which expertise dimension was the most dominant factor of this. It showed that high brand credibility increase consumer price sensitivity. This might happened because of Indonesian consumers mostly are price-seeker and tend to be valueoriented consumers, (2) There was positive influence significant between country-of-origin image and consumer price sensitivity, (3) There were differences among consumers of four brands 'Toshiba, Acer, MacBook Apple, and Zyrex- for its brand credibility, (4) MacBook Apple obtained the highest brand credibility among others considering trustworthiness and expertise dimensions, (5) There were differences of country-of-origin among each brands, (6) There were differences of consumer price sensitivity among each brands.
The implications of this research were: (1) considering the unique characteristic of Indonesia's consumers, value-oriented consumers, it was suggested that companies started to apply the value-pricing strategy to gain bigger market share and to emphasize sales, (2) brand-naming strategy also can help to increase sales by mentioning the home-country or put the 'made-in' label on products. For Indonesian's products, in the purpose to survive or even win the competition in the industry, companies may considered to give a foreign brand-name to attract consumer's attention and achieve a better product-image."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh promosi penjualan yang terbagi atas moneter dan nonmoneter terhadap kesadaran merek, kesan kualitas, dan loyalitas merek di Carrefour. Hasil penelitian ini nantinya diharapkan dapat memberi masukan demi peningkatan kesadaran merek, kesan kualitas, dan loyalitas merek di Carrefour. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian melalui survei pada 212 orang responden, maka diketahui bahwa promosi penjualan yang bersifat moneter berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kesadaran merek, kesan kualitas, dan loyalitas merek, sedangkan promosi penjualan yang nonmoneter hanya berpengaruh terhadap kesadaran merek dan loyalitas merek. Promosi penjualan moneter tidak mampu memberikan pengaruh terhadap kesan kualitas Carrefour.

ABSTRACT
This research therefore is going to analyze the effect of sales promotion which is divided into monetary and non-monetary toward brand awareness, perceived quality, and brand loyalty at Carrefour. The findings of this research may expectably become beneficial input for the continuous improvement of brand awareness, perceived quality, and brand loyalty at Carrefour. The results indicate that monetary sales promotion affects brand awareness, perceived quality and brand loyalty, while non-monetary sales promotion only affects brand awareness and brand loyalty. Non-monetary sales promotion can not affect the perceived quality of Carrefour.

"Direct Marketing Association (DMA) menyatakan bahwa terdapat lebih dari 10.000 jenis katalog dikirimkan kepada konsumen. Konsumen dapat menerima sekitar 70 katalog dalam satu minggunya di musim liburan. Dalam penelitiannya pada awal tahun 2000, Chiger (2001) mendapati adanya peningkatan konsumen yang berbelanja melalui katalog_ Reynolds (1974) mengungkapkan bahwa konsumen yang berbelanja melalui katalog biasanya memiliki tingkat penghasilan yang Iebih tinggi dan merupakan keluarga yang memiliki anak kecil.
Kehadiran Carrefour di Indonesia pada penghujung tahun 1999, merupakan fenomena tersendiri disebabkan keberaniannya menanamkan investasi yang sangat besar dalam melakukan penetrasi di pasar retail, padahaI baru saja Indonesia mengalami krisis ekonomi yang sangat berat, Dengan 11 outlet yang dimilikinya sekarang ini, boleh dikatakan Carrefour merupakan Market Leader di bidangnya. Dalam mensukseskan tujuannya, Carrefour menerapkan strategi promosi tertentu yang salah satunya adalah penyampain katalog (direct mail) kepada calon pembeli, Dengan frekuensi 1-2 minggu sekali dan desain yang selalu dibuat menarik (misalkan dengan cover artis terkenaI), Carrefour berusaha menarik konsumen berbelanja dengan katalog ini.
Tesis ini merupakan studi terhadap usaha promosi Carrefour melalui katalog dikaitkan dengan keinginan konsumen untuk berbelanja. Empat unsur dalam katalog yaitu desain, kategori/pilihan produk, cara promosi dan harga diduga dapat mempengaruhi keinginan berbelanja konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bauran keempat unsur tersebut secara statistik mempengaruhi keinginan berbelanja konsumen secara signifikan . Dengan demikian, Carrefour dapat meneruskan strategi promosi yang dilakukannya sekarang ini dengan meningkatkan fungsi katalog dalam mempengaruhi keinginan berbelanja konsumen."

"Sebagian besar toko ritel saat ini menggunakan musik sebagai background toko. Akan tetapi musik yang diputar tidak dimanfaatkan secara maksimal untuk mempengaruhi konsumen. Kurangnya referensi menyebabkan pemakaian musik background kurang efektif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian yang lebih mendetail mengenai pengaruh musik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eyetracking untuk merekam gerakan mata. Responden diperlihatkan suatu gambar stimulus sama pada kondisi tanpa musik, musik tempo lambat, dan musik tempo cepat dengan menggunakan musik instrument. Hasilnya menunjukkan musik tempo secara signifikan mempengaruhi durasi fiksasi responden pada kategori Brand pada gambar stimulus sedangkan pada kategori Price tidak signifikan.

Most of retail stores currently use the music as background of store. But the music that was played was not fully utilized to influence consumers. The lack of reference leads to less effective use of background music. Therefore, more detailed research is needed regarding influence of music. This study used eyetracking method for recording eye movements. Respondents were shown a picture of the same visual stimulus in the three of condition, no music, slower tempo music, faster tempo music using a musical instrument. The result show that the music tempo significantly affect the fixation duration of the respondents in the brand category on the picture while price category was not significant."
