"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran optimisme mantan pecandu narkoba yang sedang menjalani rehabilitasi. Untuk mendukung penelitian ini, digunakan sebanyak 27 pustaka, baik dalam bentuk buku maupun jurnal yang berkisar antara tahun 1981-2007. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 126 orang, kelompok sampel dengan metode TC murni berjumlah 31 orang, sedangkan kelompok sampel dengan metode TC campuran berjumlah 95 orang.Untuk memperoleh data, peneliti menggunakan Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) dari Carver, Scheier & Bridges yang telah diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi. LOT-R diterjemahkan melalui back translation, sedangkan modifikasi alat tes dilakukan dengan menambahkan pilihan jawaban. Peneliti juga telah melakukan uji coba pada alat ukur. Hasil perhitungan statistik memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat lebih banyak mantan pecandu narkoba yang sedang menjalani rehabilitasi berada dalam kategori pesimis dibandingkan dengan kategori optimis, namun mayoritas mantan pecandu narkoba berada dalam kategori cukup optimis.

This research aims to describe the optimism among ex-drugs addicts who are under the care of rehabilitation centre. 27 journals and books, which published between 1981 up to 2007, are used to support this research. The technique used for this result is the purpose sampling method. The total sample for this research is 126 persons which consist of 31 persons using the pure Therapeutic Community method and the rest 95 persons using the mixed Therapeutic Community method.To retrieve the data, the researcher used the Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOTR) from the Carver, Scheier, & Bridges which is modified and adapted for the purpose of this research. The LOT-R is translated through back translation, while the modification of the test tools was conducted by adding answer options. The statistical counting result shows that most of ex-drugs addicts are optimist enough, while more ex-drugs addict are pessimist than optimist."

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara resiliensi dankeberfungsian keluarga pada remaja pecandu narkoba yang sedang menjalani pemulihan. Pengukuran keberfungsian keluarga dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur FAD (Family Assessment Device) yang disusun oleh Epstein, et al. (1983). sedangkan pengukuran resiliensi menggunakan RS (Resilience Scale) yangdisusun oleh Wagild & Young (1993). Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 remaja pecandu narkoba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara keberfungsian keluarga dan resiliensi pada remaja pecandu narkoba yang sedang menjalani pemulihan (r = +0.376, p = 0.017*, signifikan pada L.o.S 0.05). Dari hasil perhitungan diketahui bahwa dimensi keberfungsian keluarga yang berpengaruh terhadap resiliensi adalah dimensiketerlibatan afektif dan kontrol perilaku dimana kontrol perilaku merupakan dimensi yang memiliki pengaruh paling besar terhadap resiliensi.

AbstractThis research was conducted to find the correlation between family functioning and resilience of drug?s addict adolescences who are recovering. Family functioning was measured using an instrument named FAD (Family Assessment Device) by Epstein (1983), while resilience was measured using instrument named RS (Resilience Scale) by Wagnild & Young (1993). The participants of this research are 40 adolescences who drug?s addict in BNN (Badan Narkotika Nasional). The main results of this research show that family functioning have positively correlated significantly with resilience (r = +0.376, p = 0. 017*, significant at L.o.S 0.05). Affective involvement and behavior control isdimensions of family functioning that give influence to resilience. The result show that behavior control give biggest affect to resilience."
