"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan prototipe modul pada bahan ajar mata kuliah Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup, Universitas Terbuka. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik evaluasi formatif, dengan mengembangkan satu prototipe modul bahan ajar berupa modul 2 tentang Manusia, Energi, dan Sumber Daya Alam, sebagai model dalam penulisan modul lainnya. Prototipe modul bahan ajar tersebut diuji coba dan direvisi secara bertahap, mulai dari evaluasi satu-satu dilanjutkan dengan evaluasi kelompok kecil, dan evaluasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada evaluasi satu-satu, ditemukan adanya beberapa kekurangan, seperti gambar yang kurang jelas dengan keterangan masih menggunakan bahasa asing, tes formatif yang tidak sesuai dengan materi, serta beberapa istilah yang belum dijelaskan. Hasil evaluasi kelompok kecil menunjukkan materi pada prototipe modul bahan ajar tersebut terlalu banyak, kualitas gambar kurang memadai, dan ada beberapa materi yang perlu diperbaiki. Sedangkan hasil uji lapangan menunjukkan bahwa prototipe modul tersebut sudah cukup baik dan dapat dimengerti responden, namun masih ada saran penggunaan istil ah yang belum jel as. Disimpul kan bahwa setelah melakukan serangkaian evaluasi dan revisi diakhiri dengan uji lapangan, prototipe modul bahan ajar Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup tersebut cukup baik untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pendidikan jarak jauh, dengan beberapa catatan perbai kan khususnya penggunaan istilah.

"Open and Distance Learning (ODL) nowadays becomes a trend in higher education. Course delivery and course material distribution have already been in electronic form by using information and communication technology (ICT). This technology becomes cheaper and much easier to be used. Indonesia as a nation where its people spread in thousands of islands does not always have face-to-face university in each city. Meanwhile, the need of skilled worker is always increased. ODL then becomes an alternative to educate people by using different way of teaching and learning process. People who have difficulties in accessing face-to-face university can use ODL as an alternative to upgrade their education. The role of ICT in ODL become important since the students can learn by using ICT. The students cal also “meet” their colleagues virtually. Meanwhile, it was explored that ICT can be utilized for online examination. Online examination is more efficient, much faster in processing the examination result, and much cheaper in budget. This article discusses many aspects of strength and weakness which is faced by educational institutions in administering online examinations."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain video pembelajaran dan menentukan unsur-unsur yang terdapat dalam video pembelajaran pada pendidikan jarak jauh sehingga dapat efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa. Studi kasus dilakukan di Program Studi Administrasi Publik Universitas Terbuka Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain penelitian evaluatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Melalui metode ini dilakukan penilaian sistematis terhadap kegiatan dan atau hasil dari suatu program perancangan video sebagai sarana untuk memberikan kontribusi untuk perbaikan perancangan video. Langkah-langkah dalam penelitian ini adalah pengukuran input (berupa perancangan video), pengukuran output, dan pengukuran outcome (berupa pengukuran peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa). Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu pre test, post test, angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga desain video yang telah dirancang mampu untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa. Agar dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa, unsur-unsur yang terdapat dalam video pembelajaran harus meliputi aspek konten, durasi video, bentuk media video, penggunaan warna, music dan ilustrasi, presenter, penggunaan bahasa, dan penugasan melalui video."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji hubungan antara DAK pendidikan dengan angka partisipasi kasar (APK) dan melihat perbedaan pengaruh DAK pedidikan di wilayah 3T dan non 3T dengan menggunakan data sekunder dari DJPK Kementerian Keuangan dan Kementerian Pendidikan tahun 2015-2017. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa DAK Pendidikan mampu meningkatkan APK di tingkat SD dan SMP, dan dampak DAK pendidikan di wilayah 3T lebih elastis dibandingkan wilayah non 3T karena ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana di wilayah 3T yang lebih sedikit. Sehingga adanya transfer DAK pendidikan mempercepat penambahan ketersediaan tersebut. Hasil estimasi ini berimplikasi pemerintah harus meningkatkan dan memperbesar skema program afirmasi untuk meningkatkan capaian kinerja pendidikan melalui APK.

This study aims to examine the relations between education special allocation funds with gross enrollment rates (GER) and observe the difference in the influence of education special allocation funds in less developed and developed regions by using secondary data from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education in 2015- 2017. Estimation results show that education special allocation funds can increase GER at elementary and junior high school level, and the impact of education special allocation funds in less developed regions is more elastic than developed regions causing of the availability of facilities and infrastructure in fewer less developed regions. Therefore, the transfer of education special allocation funds accelerates of the availability. The results of this estimation have implications for the government to improve and broaden the affirmation program scheme to increasing educational performance through GER."

"This study aims to identify problems facing by participants in experiencing teaching practice under The Strengthening Teaching Competency Programme. An evaluation method was employed through problem and issues maping, interpreting problem dynamics, and improving actions. A qualitative-naturalistic approach with interview was conducted during April-july 2009 to participants of Lower Secondary School Teacher Training who live in remote and rural areas in Bandung, Bogor, and Serang region. Interview was also conducted to tutors, supervisors, programme manager, remote-school principals, peer teachers and students involved in the teaching practicum/exercise. Observations and documentary study were employed to support the data of the interview. Problems identified as the low performance of supervisory officials and partnership schools in guiding student teachers in developing didastic materials for both practicum and final exam. Most participants become stressed due to the absence of a definite timetable guidance process both in the process of lesson plan development, implementation of practicum and execution of final exams. It was suggested to redesign the current system with a more reliable system for participants coming from remote areas who wish to carry out teaching practice."
