"Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai evaluasi portal perpustakaan digital Universitas Indonesia dengan menggunakan teori Saracevic, yang difokuskan pada aspek user center dan sistem center yakni: user-centered dan system centered. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengevaluasi portal perpustakaan digital UI dari sudut pandang pengguna melalui penyebaran kuesioner ke 100 orang mahasiswa. yang telah menggunakan portal perpustakaan digital tersebut. Metode penyebaran dilakukan dengan metode accidental. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa portal pada perpustakaan UI sangat bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa.

"The advancement in computer-information technology nowdays has come to a revolutionary development which affect the current information sources. One of the latest forms of information source is the digital publishing/e-publishing which can be accessed from computer network. A number of changes have happened which leads is to a demand that librarians as information providers have to be able to create a system which is user friendly. This can be done by creating information architecture, database integration and human computer interaction systems or good user interface so that users are able to retrieve d=the desired information easily. The current changes of digital publishing have demanded users to be able to adapt with the existing system. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilaksanakan kegiatan preservasi atau pelestarian yang disesuaikan dengan jenis koleksinya. Penelitian ini membahas tentang preservasi digital koleksi kaset yang dilakukan di SCTV Library. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah SCTV Library sudah melakukan preservasi digital terhadap koleksi kaset dan konten rekaman acara yang ada di dalamnya, yaitu pelestarian medium, teknologi, dan intelektual.

One of the library‟s tasks as an institution which manage and provide information is to ensure that the information contained in the collection can be accessed continuously. Therefore, preservation is needed depending on the type of collection. This study discusses the digital preservation of cassette collection conducted in SCTV Library. This research is qualitative research and using the case study method. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and literature. The result of this study is SCTV Library already done digital preservation for the cassette collections and recordings, consist of preservation of media, technology, and intellectual."
