"ABSTRACTAs administrative and territorial units Indonesian villages and hamlets have, for the last decade or so, increasingly come within the sphere of interest of both national and regional planners for the simple reason that a balanced and effective development strategy has to account for the rural hinterland where the majority of approximately 130 million people live. There seems to be a growing consciousness among both planners and other less professional policy makers that sustained economic development of the country would only be possible if villages and hamlets are successful in skillfully exploiting their resources and potencies, and thus becoming growth centres themselves. Therefore, in order that hamlets and villages be enabled to deploy and accelerate the pace of development appropriate measures will continue to be taken by the government. Its interference, having been a long accepted principle, is not the problem. However, where the shoe pinges is in the relative ignorance and lack of data about a good many aspects of rural life, in national and regional level planning boards, encompassing specific patterns of interacting social categories, e.g. institutions and more formal groupings as associations or corporate organizations. There is, moreover a lack of knowledge"

"Harmonik merupakan permasalahan yang terdapat pada sistem tenaga listrik. Harmonik dapat menyebabkan gelombang arus maupun tegangan menjadi tidak sinusoidal. Sumber harmonik berasal dari beban-beban non-linear, yang sering terdapat pada beban rumah tangga. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan harmonik dapat menggunakan sebuah filter pasif. Pada penelitian ini akan didesain suatu second order damped filter untuk mengurangi distorsi harmonik. Dengan melakukan pengukuran pada beban-beban rumah tangga, maka dapat diketahui karakteristik THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) arus dan tegangan tiap beban berbeda. Setelah mendapat data-data dari pengukuran, akan dilakukan perhitungan untuk menentukan spesifikasi dari filter yang kemudian akan disimulasikan pada program ETAP POWER STATION 7.0.0.

Harmonics are a problem in Electrical Power Systems. It will causes the distortion both of current and voltage due to non linear load. To reduce the harmonics, it will need a passive filter. In this research a second order damped filter has designed to reduce the harmonic distortion in household load. By measuring households load, it can recognized the different characteristics of current and voltage THD (Total Harmonic Distortion). Based on the result data of measurement, calculations will be performed to determine the specifications of the filter which will then be simulated in the program ETAP POWER STATION 7.0.0."

"ABSTRAKStudi ini berfokus pada pengembangan program pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh organisasi non-pemerintah. Studi kasus ini menceritakan tentang Yayasan Nurani Dunia di Purwakarta yang berupaya menjadi daerah percontohan nyata di bidang pemberdayaan masyarakat. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya telah menyarankan bahwa LSM akan lebih baik jika mereka fokus pada mendorong partisipasi masyarakat. Sementara itu, penelitian lain mengatakan bahwa LSM harus meningkatkan jejaring sosial. Studi ini mencoba memperkaya beberapa studi sebelumnya dengan menyatakan bahwa LSM perlu memperhatikan perkembangan dari aspek kerangka program, manajemen organisasi, dan keterlibatan organisasi lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif serta wawancara dan observasi mendalam untuk mengumpulkan data.

ABSTRACTThis study focuses on developing community empowerment programs carried out by non-governmental organizations. This case study tells the story of the World Conscience Foundation in Purwakarta which seeks to become a real pilot area in the field of community empowerment. Several previous studies have suggested that NGOs would be better off if they focused on encouraging community participation. Meanwhile, other research says that NGOs must improve social networking. This study tries to enrich some of the previous studies by stating that NGOs need to pay attention to developments in aspects of the program framework, organizational management, and involvement of local organizations. This study uses qualitative methods as well as in-depth interviews and observations to collect data."
