The low reading interest of the Indonesian people is a serious problem because one of the ways a person can obtain information and knowledge is by reading. The development of information and communication technology is currently experiencing very rapid progress. This can be seen from the various innovations offered in various applications. In fact, the existence of the application has also changed people's lifestyles and behavior. One of these innovations is digital reading material that can be read easily anywhere, anytime with just a smartphone or laptop and an internet connection. Therefore, researchers are interested in knowing how the Discover feature in the by.U application provides digital reading materials that affect users' reading interest according to Springer et.al's theory of reading interest development. The method used in this research is qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of interviews in May 2023 with the three informants selected based on specific criteria set. Based on the research results, the presence of the Discover feature on the by.U application has implemented the four principles of developing reading interest. This is supported by several factors of by.U's strategy in presenting digital reading materials in the Discover feature, starting from language style, story content, entertainment features, and the opportunity to get rewards. It can be concluded that the Discover feature also has a positive impact and influence in building users' interest in reading while increasing their reading routine which is supported by several excellent features in the by.U application."

ABSTRACT
Reading motivation is an important issue in elementary school (Saw, 2014). If
students do not become active, engaged readers in elementary school, it is
unlikely that they will develop reading motivation in secondary school and later
(Pecjak & Kosir, 2004). To enhance reading motivation, there are many strategies
that can be apllied, such as teaching reading strategies dan making reading diaries.
This study is conducted to prove whether RAP reading strategy teaching and
reading diaries can enhance reading motivation of underachiever student. The
result of this study shows that RAP reading strategy teaching and reading diaries
can enhance reading motivation of underachiever student, but this enhancement is
not significant.;Reading motivation is an important issue in elementary school (Saw, 2014). If
