"Lift merupakan sebuah alat transportasi vertikal pada gedung yang memiliki fungsi cukup penting yaitu untuk membantu memindahkan pengguna gedung menuju lantai yang diinginkan. Oleh karena itu lift harus dapat mengakomodir permintaan jumlah pengguna dari gedung tersebut. Pada pagi hari di gedung kuliah S FTUI sering terlihat jumlah antrian yang cukup banyak untuk menunggu kedatangan sebuah lift. Karena itu banyak mahasiswa yang akhirnya memilih untuk menggunakan tangga untuk menuju kelas-kelas dilantai atas.
Kriteria dalam menentukan sebuah sistem lift adalah waktu tunggu rata-rata dan tuntutan arus sirkulasi. Sesuai dengan aturan-aturan yang mengikuti badan standar nasional indonesia, dengan menggunakan metode traffic analysis pada penelitian ini akan dicari sistem lift yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan gedung kuliah S. Metode ini mencari tahu kebutuhan jumlah dan kapasitas lift pada sebuah gedung berdasarkan pola sirkulasi, jumlah pengguna lift, waktu tunggu rata-rata, dan tuntutan arus sirkulasi.
Pada hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa jumlah lift yang dibutuhkan sesuai dengan jumlah lift yang tersedia sekarang ini. Lift yang dibutuhkan adalah lift dengan kapasitas 10 orang berjumlah 3 unit dengan kecepatan 60 m/m.

Elevator has an important function as a vertical transportation in the building which is to help building’s user to get into the destination floor. Because of that elevator must be able to accomodate demand of users of the building. On morning class, in building S FTUI often seen many queues to wait the arrival of an elevator. At the end many students use stairs to reach into their class in upper floor.
Criteria in selection of vertical transportation building is waiting interval and peak traffic demand. According to the badan standar nasional indonesia this final assignment is to find the optimal number of elevator sistem in lecture building S using traffic analysis method. This method is used to find the amount of elevator needed and its capacity depends on traffic pattern, elevator users, average waiting time, and peak traffic demand.
Based on observation and calculation, the result is the amount of elevator which is needed not match with the elevator available right now. The elevator that should be used is 3 elevators with capacity 10 people and the speed is 60 m/m.

"Alat transportasi Vertikal adalah suatu terobosan mutakhir alat transportasi dalam gedung. Penggunaannya telah dimulai sejak 1855. Seiring perkembangan teknologi, alat transportasi ini menjadi popular sebagai salah satu keharusan untuk alat transportasi gedung bertingkat. Bukan hanya gedung bertingkat, tapi juga untuk rumah juga dapat menggunakan elevator. Perkembangan yang terjadi pun menghasilkan suatu ilmu traffic analysis yang dapat membantu manusia untuk mengetahui kebutuhan lift secara khusus bagi setiap gedung yang dibangun. Pada Gedung Kuliah Bersama - Gedung S Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia, Kampus Depok. Mengalami suatu masalah pada optimasi yang kurang tepat. Pengguna lift menunggu di lantai lobi terlalu lama sehingga elevator tidak dapat membantu perpindahan pengguna gedung secara vertikal. Permasalahan ini terjadi karena kekurangannya unit lift yang dibutuhkan. Hal ini terjadi akibat perencanaan yang tidak mengikuti kebutuhan. Artinya Lift tersebut tersedia atas dasar "estetika". Solusi yang dapat diberikan adalah dengan menambah elevator yang tersedia. Untuk itu pemilihan komponen yang tepat adalah sautu keharusan utama. Dalam buku ini telah mengeluarkan hasil perhitungan tentang keamanan dan saran untuk komponen yang digunakan.

Vertical Transportation is one of a high-end technology of building transportation. The research ad begun in the 1855. On the following years, this kind of building transportation become popular among building management and this term have made a paradigm that multi levels building is necessary needed this kind of transportation which we have known today as Elevator. Not only high-rise buildings have elevators, but also for home applicants. Then for the following terms, the evolving knowlage of elevator study have grown and as result, engineer have found a way to analyst the traffic of people use vertical transportation and this traffic analysis method has help engineers to design as specific as the building's need. The eevator in S-building Faculty of Engineering University of Indonesia, Depok, West Jave, had some problem on its haulage, the user have to waste so much time on waiting in the lobby for the elevator. this problem occurs from lack of elevators unit. There is only one elevator installed while the requirements on this building should have three units elevator running. This also the cause of lack of concern of this section on design term. This means that the current elevator installed is only pursuing for building 'aesthetics". the solution we could offer is to add other two elevator installment. To fulfill the elevator requirement, we do have a list of components that we should use and in this session we have proven that the components are suitable and safe."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh peta strategi dan rancangan indikator evaluasi kinerja fakultas dengan balance scorecard. Peta strategi digunakan sebagai alat bantu untuk menvisualisasikan, menerjemahkan dan mengkomunikasikan rencana strategis fakultas kepada seluruh karyawan. Pemilihan strategi dengan metode Borda perankingan dan triangulasi validasi metode kualitatif telah menghasilkan 5 strategi fakultas yang terpilih dari Renstra Rencana Strategis Universitas. Metode AHP juga digunakan sebagai usulan untuk memusatkan perhatian pada 5 strategi yang akan diprioritaskan dalam mencapai visi dan misi fakultas serta memberikan laporan kemajuan kinerja antar strategi. Urutan strategi hasil prioritas AHP adalah pemantapan sistem tata kelola dan manajemen terintegrasi dan organisasi yang sehat, penguatan profesionalisme SDM, peningkatan kapasitas, kualitas dan produktifitas riset, pengabdian masyarakat dan inovasi, peningkatan kualitas lulusan berdaya saing global, peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas sarana dan prasarana dan pemanfaatannya secara optimal. Setiap strategi memiliki program ndash; program pencapaian strategi yang dikelompokan ke dalam empat persepektif BSC. Setiap program pencapaian strategi memiliki beberapa indikator evaluasi kinerja. Hasil rancangan evaluasi kinerja digunakan untuk menentukan keadaan sistem pendidikan serta memantau setiap perkembangan dan kemajuan kinerja fakultas baik eksternal maupun internal.

This thesis aims to obtain a strategy map and design of faculty performance evaluation indicators with a balanced scorecard. Strategy map is used as a tool to visualize, interpret and communicate the strategic plan of the faculty to all employees. The selection strategy with Borda ranking and triangulation qualitative method validation has produced 5 five strategies faculty that chosen from strategic planning. Analytical Hierarchy Process AHP method is also used to focus on 5 five strategies that will be priorited in achieving the vision and mission of the faculty and provide a performance progress report of performance strategy. The priority of strategis based on AHP method are good university governance and management strengthening human resources professionalism increasing capacity, quality and productivity of research, community service and innovation increasing quality of graduates globally competitive increasing quantity and quality of infrastructure and optimal utilization. Each strategy has several programs to achieve strategy which grouped in 4 four perspectives of Balance Scorecard BSC . Each program has several performance evaluation indicators. The results of strategy map design and performance evaluation indicators are used to determine how the condition of the education system and monitor how progress report of performance faculty, both external and internal."
