"Teknis material ekspos merupakan cara pengggunaan material secara jujur, tanpa tempelan material lainnya, dibiarkan apa adanya tanpa tertutupi. Teknik material ekspos ini menghadirkan kejujuran pada setiap jenis materialnya. Pengaplikasian dengan cara mengekspos ini salah satunya bisa dilihat dalam perancangan ruang interior. Penggunaan material ekspos dapat menghadirkan estetika yang khas pada desain ruang interior. Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara material ekspos dengan ruang dalam. Secara khusus skripsi ini akan membahas secara teknis maupun estetika material ekspos dalam perancangan ruang interior, dan aspek sensorik yang dihadirkan oleh material ekspos tersebut. Studi kasus disini akan menganalisis cafe-cafe yang menggunakan material ekspos.

Exposing material is using material with honest way, without the patch of other material, is left as it is without covered. Exposed materials bring honesty in every kind of materials. The application by exposing this material can be seen in the design of interior spaces. The use of material exposed can present unique aesthetic to the design of interior spaces. This thesis aims to examine the relationship between exposing to the material in the chamber. In particular, this paper will discuss the technical and aesthetic material exposed in the design of the interior space, and sensory aspects presented by the expose material. The case study here will analyze the cafes that use material exposed."
