"3D Graphics: A Visual Approach presents a visual introduction to the exciting world of computer graphics and covers important rendering techniques including bump, texture, and environment mapping. Through a technique called Visual Analysis, a reader learns to identify graphics effects visually by looking for a few cues. Cues and concepts are presented progressively, with more complex cues building from simpler ones. The material covered in this text will provide students with a good feel for the range and visual effect of rendering algorithms"

"A virtopsy (virtual autopsy) is a minimally invasive alternative that can produce an efficient autopsy. The range of technologies employed in virtopsies include computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, and 3D photogrammetry and surface scanning.
Charred, badly decomposed, or mummified corpses, as well as those restrictions forced upon coroners by certain religious sects, often make autopsies impossible to perform. In addition, lack of manpower among the personnel charged with performing autopsies frequently creates a backlog of cases in the coroner's office. This delay increases the likelihood that causes of death will go undetermined and criminal perpetrators will go unpunished. The solution can be found in what has come to be known as the virtopsy®, a minimally invasive and efficient way to perform an autopsy.

Taking a trajectory from “reading as a multimodal activity” (Knox, 2020), this study tries to investigate how multiple modes work together in constructing meaning to communicate messages or information in a particular reading passage. The application of multimodal texts in language learning has become increasingly more common, especially in contemporary classrooms such as textbooks. Although it can be said that they cannot substitute for the verbal texts, visual elements often play critically important role in the textbooks and even being an integral part of reading passage.
Having understood that, this study attempts to analyse the role of visual and verbal elements in the Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) textbook by examining their role within the texts. The research is based on qualitative method and applies the Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) to analyse visual and verbal elements in the multimedia textbook Sahabatku Indonesia untuk Penutur Bahasa Thailand through three metafunctions: Ideational metafunction, Interpersonal metafunction, and Textual metafunction.
In terms of ideasional metafunction, the study finds that visual elements frequently complement and act as visual articulation of the verbal elements but at the same time tend to ignore them when the visual elements have not sufficiently provided information as intended by the verbal elements. On the interpersonal metafunction, the visual and verbal elements do build interactions though predominantly one-way. While both play a role in terms of textual metafunction, the visual elements are found in this study as having more salient in guiding the readers to discern information from the texts.

Hands are one of the most active tools that human use for daily activities. Unfortunately, there are peoples who lost their arm and they had some difficulties at doint everyday task. Prosthetic hand is on of the best solution to help this problem. Prosthetic hand is a medical tool which is designed to replace human hand. But, the access to prosthetic hand care is still very limited due to its expensive cost. In Indonesia, there is only one company that is officially provide prosthetic care. This scarcity of prosthetic hand providers is one of the main drivers of its high cost. Another factor contributing to its expensiveness is the complex component that build the product require a high invest in fabrication tools such as molding and CNC milling. A design of prosthetic hand with alternative affordable fabrication method can be a solution to this limited prosthetic hand problem in Indonesia. One of the alternative fabrication method that are able to make a complicated geometry with a relatively low cost is 3D Printing. This technology is very suited for prosthetic hand development which has complex geometry and are produced in a small scale. Development of design for assembly and the use of off-the-shelf component will further lowering the production cost of prosthetic hand. With 3D Printing, design for assembly method, and the use of off-the-shelf component, a functional, affordable, easy to produce powered prosthetic hand is achievable.
