Hal ini terbantukan oleh dibuatnya film-film berdasarkan tokoh-tokoh tersebut di layar lebar. Salah satu pahlawan super yang paling menonjol adalah Spider-
Man. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) dan Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), secara berurutan, adalah franchise ke-3 dan ke-4 dari film Spider-Man dalam kurun waktu 17 tahun.
Popularitas Spider-Man menjadikannya objek yang menarik untuk diteliti, karena berarti pengaruhnya besar dalam memproduksi dan mereproduksi norma-norma tertentu dalam masyarakat. Artikel ini ditulis dengan tujuan melihat bagaimana film-film tersebut mengikuti atau menolak norma hegemonic masculinity. Dengan menggunakan analisis tekstual dan semiotik, studi ini menemukan bahwa Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) lebih
progresif dalam representasi maskulinitasnya daripada Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). Hal ini dihubungkan dengan adanya varian yang lebih beragam dalam wacana maskulinitasnya. Studi ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pergerakan yang menginginkan adanya representasi
yang lebih beragam dalam genre film pahlawan super.

Even though American comic book superheroes have existed since the late 1930s, it is in the 21st century that they have become truly prominent icons of popular culture. This rise in
popularity is helped greatly by their adaptation into the big screen. One superhero that stands out is Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
(2018) are the third and fourth respective iterations of the Spider-Man movie franchise within the span of 17 years. Spider-Mans popularity makes it an interesting case study, as it has a
significant influence in producing and reproducing certain societal ideas. This article aims to examine how those movies conform to or resist hegemonic masculinity in their portrayal of the
male lead characters masculinities. Incorporating textual and semiotic analysis, this study has found that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) represents a more progressive portrayal of masculinity than Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), attributing it to its inclusion of diversity in the discourse of masculinity. This study is intended to come in support of the movement of calling for more diverse representation in the superhero movie genre.

"Spider Boys, written by Ming Cher, sets in colonial Singapore and shows a conflict between generations and a life of sub cultural group with the growth and development of the main characters, Yeow and Kwang, from schoolboys to teenagers. It touches the colonial and post-colonial history of Singapore. Cher examines the purpose of sub cultural group and its spider game in social and historical context.
In Spider Boys one is made aware of the conflict generated by the transition from childhood to young adult and by being caught between the sub cultural group's life of street kids in its relation with their parents culture as well as the dominant culture of the British government. Being the member of the Spider Boys is only the beginning of their life as street kids subculture.
Spider Boys shows pessimism and identity crisis undergo by a group of young Chinese immigrant in Singapore. They have such a sub cultural life within the community of adult Chinese immigrant. This sub cultural group constructs its own identities, among others through language and their way of interaction. These identities are taken as an adaptation to some of their parents' culture.
Not only the in heritage culture of their parents was adopted; some of them are also resisted. They select this parent?s culture in such a way that gives them the most convenience and confidence in their group.
Meanwhile, they also adopt the dominant culture of the British government to give a way for their sub cultural style. On the other hand, they resist the political culture of the British government insisting (Standard) English usage at school. As a result, some of them are incapable in communicating Standard English. Their resistance gives a way to the emergence of new variant of English, known as Singlish. The uniqueness of Singlish shows the combination of both dominant culture and that of their parents' culture. Their English does not pay any attention to the rule of Standard English. This absence of rule in their English, both in dialogue and in narration, enrich the atmosphere of the street kids life. As a group's identity, Singlish becomes their symbol of identification."

"Perkembangan populasi kaum manula mengalami peningkatan jumlah yang signifikan. Menjadikan kaum manula tidak akan menjadi minoritas lagi dunia dalam 40 tahun ke depan, sehingga apa yang dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat yang nanti akan menjadi bagian dari mayoritas manula tersebut harus diperhatikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas penuaan pada masyarakat itu sendiri. Produk budaya populer sebagai seperti animasi, film dan musik perlu mendapat perhatian khusus dikarenakan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan tetapi juga penyebaran pesan, ideologi bahkan membentuk konsep diri seperti ageism. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti melihat bagaimana animasi bertema super hero asal Jepang dengan nama My Hero Academia dan Marvels Spider-Man yang berasal dari Amerika menggambarkan tokoh manula dalam serial tersebut berdasarkan nilai-nilai budaya mereka. Sehingga ditemukan bahwa penggambaran tokoh manula dalam serial animasi dari Jepang memiliki konotasi yang lebih positif dengan mayoritas karakter berada dalam kategori Golden Ager, sedangkan tokoh manula dalam serial animasi buatan Amerika juga memiliki konotasi positif dalam kategori perfect grandparent tapi juga memiliki banyak konotasi negatif dengan masuknya karakter-karakter manula tersebut dalam kategori Shrew/Curmudgeon,Despondent, Severely Impaired dan Recluse.

Nowadays, elderly proportion is growing significantly. With this pace the elderly community will not be classified as minority in the next 40 years, considering the consumption of the soon to be elder should be seen seriously to enhance aging quality of the society member themselves. Pop culture products such as: animation, films and music should not be seen as mere entertainment rather to be seen as a message containing several idea and ideology which constructing stereotype for the audience such as ageism. By this research, researcher will see how the elder depicted in pop culture animation product also comparing the result between My Hero Academia as Japan’s animation and Marvel’s Spider-Man as America’s animation. Resulting the depiction of elder in Japan’s animation has more positive connotation rather than the America’s animation, the elder character in Japan’s animation is classified majorly in Golden Ager category which is the ideal aging goal while elder characters in Americas animation was classified in negative ageism connotation category as Shrew/Curmudgeon,Despondent, Severely Impaired and Recluse."

"Perkembangan teknologi drone menyimpan beragam potensi bahaya bagi keamanan suatu wilayah. Dengan berkembangnya teknologi drone, sekelompok pihak dapat memantau secara ilegal atau bahkan melakukan penyerangan jarak jauh dengan mengendalikan drone menggunakan remote control maupun memprogram strategi pergerakan drone yang digunakan. Potensi bahaya teknologi drone menjadi semakin mengancam ketika drone yang digunakan untuk menyerang adalah bertipe drone berkelompok, yang memungkinkan terdapat sekelompok drone yang terkoordinasi secara sistematis untuk melakukan penyerangan terhadap suatu area.
Meskipun saat ini telah berkembang beberapa teknologi penangkal drone, teknologi yang ada cenderung difokuskan untuk menangkal satu drone tunggal. Belum terdapat publikasi mendalam yang membahas kerangka kerja penangkal serangan drone berkelompok. Pada penelitian ini, dikembangkan suatu strategi pertahanan penangkal drone berkelompok (drone swarm) menggunakan pasukan autonomous-drone penjaga keamanan wilayah. Konsep usulan yang diajukan adalah dengan cara mengembangkan algoritma koordinasi yang memungkinkan suatu pasukan autonomous-drone penjaga keamanan wilayah untuk melakukan penangkapan atau penghentian secara terorganisir terhadap kelompok drone penyerang.
Adapun dasar algoritma yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Social Spider Optimization (SSO). Aspek utama kontribusi di dalam penelitian ini terdapat pada modifikasi algoritma SSO untuk mengatasi persoalan pencarian multi-target-bergerak berupa penangkapan atau penghentian serangan drone berkelompok. Penelitian ini telah diuji dalam simulator 3 dimensi, dengan konfigurasi pergerakan kelompok drone penyerang yang diujikan berbasis pendekatan penyerangan sekali jalan. Uji kinerja dilakukan dengan membandingkan kinerja usulan algoritma dengan 3 alternatif algoritma pergerakan kawanan drone pertahanan. Ketika dihadapkan dengan kelompok drone penyerang yang berkerumun, dibandingkan 3 alternatif algoritma pertahanan yang lain, usulan algoritma mampu mengurangi kerusakan hingga rasio 44% (terbaik), 67% (rata-rata), dan 97% (terburuk).

Nowadays, drone technology development brings many dangerous possibilities for the security of an area. Because of the advanced development, many villains can conduct illegal surveillance or even long-distance attack on an area by remote controlling a drone or programming the drone movement strategy. Meanwhile, the dangerous impact of drone technology usage becomes higher when the technology used to attack an area is the type of drone swarm technology. In this kind of technology, every drone can coordinate and communicate while striking an area.
Although there have been many anti-drone technologies developed at the moment, they tend to focus on targeting one single drone only. So far, no publication comprehensively proposes a framework to overcome the multi-drone attack. This research presents an anti-drone-swarm defense strategy to protect area safety by using the autonomous-drone unit. The proposed method concept is manifested by developing a coordination algorithm for an autonomous-drone army to communicate with each other while catching or stopping the invader drone swarm.
The foundation of this research algorithm is Social Spider Optimization (SSO). This research's main contribution lies in modifying the SSO algorithm to handle the moving multiple-target searching problem, in this case, by catching or stopping the drone-swarm attack. This research has been tested in a 3D simulation environment where invader drone-swarm movement is developed based on a one-way-ticket approach. Performance evaluation is conducted by comparing the proposed method result with 3 other multiple defender drone movement algorithms. When facing an invader drone swarm with crowded formation, compared to the other 3 algorithms, the proposed method produces damage ratios up to 44% (best), 67% (average), and 97% (worst).
