Krinawati Bantas, M.KesMeningkatnya prevalensi kegemukan pada anak dan rendahnya proporsipemberian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia merupakan dasar dilakukan penelitian ini.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui insidens kegemukan pada anak dan hubunganpemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian kegemukan pada anak. Desain studi yangdigunakan adalah kohor retrospektif dengan menggunakan data Indonesia Family LifeSurvey (IFLS) 4 – 5. Total sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 981 responden. Hasilperhitungan cumulative incidence kegemukan pada anak selama 7 tahun pengamatanadalah 13,3%, dengan cumulative incidence kegemukan pada anak setiap tahunnya adalah1,9%. Model akhir multivariat menunjukan relative risk anak yang tidak diberikan ASIeksklusif untuk menjadi gemuk adalah 1,11 (95% CI 0,625 – 1,967) dibandingan dengananak yang diberikan ASI eksklusif setelah dikontrol dengan variabel kovariat status sosialekonomi dan daerah tempat tinggal. Program sekolah sehat berbasis UKS dalam rangkadeteksi dini kegemukan pada anak sekolah perlu disosialisasikan lebih luas. Perencanaankegiatan promosi kesehatan manfaat pemberian ASI eksklusif masih harus dilakukan danpentingnya untuk dilakukan pemantauan dan pengendalian status gizi ibu menyusui padalevel posyandu.Kata kunci:ASI eksklusif, kegemukan anak

Krisnawati Bantas, M.KesThe increasing prevalence of childhood obesity and the low proportion of exclusivebreastfeeding in Indonesia are the background of this study. This study aims to determinethe incidence of obesity and the relationship of exclusive breastfeeding and the risk ofoverweight/obesity in children. The design of this study was used a retrospective cohortusing Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 4-5. The total sample in this study was 981respondents. The results of the cumulative incidence of overweight/obesity in childrenduring the 7 years of observation was 13.3%, with the annual cumulative incidence ofobesity in children was 1.9%. The final model showed that the relative risk of childrenwho were not exclusively breastfed to be obese was 1.11 (95% CI 0.625 - 1.967)compared to children who were given exclusive breastfeeding after being controlled bysocio-economic status and residential area variables. Health school programs in thecontext of early detection of obesity in school children need to be more widelydisseminated.
