Penelitian ini menganalisis makna cinta dalam lirik lagu "Happy End", menggunakan teori semiotik Michael Riffaterre dan teori cinta segitiga dari Robert J. Sternberg. Metode ini mengkaji ketidaklangsungan ekspresi dalam lirik, serta mengidentifikasi komponen dan jenis cinta yang tersembunyi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lagu ini mempresentasikan cinta bertepuk sebelah tangan melalui simbol dan metafora yang tidak langsung, dengan dominasi unsur keintiman tanpa komitmen maupun hasrat. Jenis cinta yang ditampilkan adalah menyukai, yang menekankan kedekatan emosional tanpa kejelasan hubungan.
