Dalam industri migas di Indonesia, sudah tercatat dalam kurun waktu dua tahun terakhir, 8 proyek pengembangan lapangan migas eksisting mundur dari jadwal onstream yang sudah ditentukan. Fenomena ini perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus. Mundurnya jadwal onstream dari proyek-proyek tersebut karena kurangnya koordinasi antar pihak yang terkait seperti keterlambatan rig, masalah administrasi, belum adanya buyer, keterlambatan material dan lain-lain. Manajemen interface merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi masalah kurangnya koordinasi antar pihak mengingat proyek-proyek di industri migas merupakan mega proyek yang melibatkan banyak pihak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan strategi manajemen interface dengan mengidentifikasi masalah interface yang berkaitan dengan kinerja waktu dan mencari masalah interface mana yang sangat mempengaruhi kinerja waktu pada proyek pengembangan lapangan migas eksisting pada Blok Natuna. Penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 4 tahapan, dimana tahap pertama adalah analisa arsip dan dilanjutkan dengan validasi pakar, tahap ketiga adalah adalah pilot survey & kuisioner responden, dan yang terakhir adalah interview langsung untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan manajemen interface untuk meningkatkan kinerja waktu. Terdapat 38 masalah interface dengan 9 kategori faktor, yaitu; partisipan, metode/proses, praktek, sumber daya, manajemen, informasi, lingkungan, hukum serta regulasi dan bid serta kontrak. Faktor analisis dilakukan setelah validasi pakar, lalu dilakukan uji validitas dan uji realibilitas dengan bantuan software SPSS. Hasil analisis data akan digunakan untuk membuat strategi dalam pengembangan manajemen interface pada proyek modifikasi lapangan migas eksisting di Blok Natuna.

In the oil and gas industry in Indonesia, it has been recorded that in the last two years, 8 existing oil and gas field development projects have been delayed from the onstream schedule that has been determined. This phenomenon needs special attention. The delay in the onstream schedule of these projects is due to lack of coordination between related parties such as rig delays, administrative problems, the absence of buyers, material delays and others. Interface management is one of the efforts to overcome the problem of lack of coordination between parties considering that projects in the oil and gas industry are mega projects that involve many parties. The purpose of this study is to develop an interface management strategy by identifying interface problems related to time performance and finding out which interface problems greatly affect time performance in the existing oil and gas field development project in the Natuna Block. This research is divided into 4 stages, where the first stage is archive analysis and continued with expert validation, the third stage is pilot survey & respondent questionnaire, and the last is direct interview to find out the interface management development strategy to improve time performance. There are 38 interface problems with 9 categories of factors, namely; participants, methods/processes, practices, resources, management, information, environment, laws and regulations and bids and contracts. Factor analysis is carried out after expert validation, then validity and reliability tests are carried out with the help of SPSS software. The results of the data analysis will be used to create strategies in the development of interface management in the modification project of the existing oil and gas field in the Natuna Block.
