Industri perhiasan di Indonesia memiliki potensi untuk terus berkembang di masa mendatang, hal ini disebabkan karena adanya prioritas pengembangan yang diberikan oleh Kementerian Perindustrian dengan tujuan agar produk perhiasan Indonesia bisa bersaing di kancah internasional. Salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di industri ini adalah PT X. Saat ini PT X, memiliki target untuk terus melakukan ekspansi dengan menambah jumlah tokonya hingga beberapa tahun ke depan. Perkembangan di industri perhiasan dan target peningkatan jumlah toko adalah dua hal yang berpotensi meningkatkan kompleksitas manajemen data perusahaan. PT X memiliki sebuah platform untuk pengelolaan data internal yang bernama MyApps. Dengan adanya MyApps, maka diharapkan sistem ini mampu menangani proses manajemen data yang semakin kompleks. Akan tetapi, berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan yang telah dilakukan, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tampilan platform MyApps dinilai masih kurang memuaskan bagi pengguna. Oleh karena itu, penelitian untuk mengevaluasi dan merancang ulang user interface platform MyApps menjadi hal yang perlu untuk dilakukan. Metode evaluasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah usability testing dengan melibatkan tiga macam metrik, yaitu performance metrics menggunakan teknik performance measurement, self-reported metrics menggunakan kuesioner SEQ dan kuesioner PSSUQ, serta issue-based metrics menggunakan teknik think aloud. Setelah didapatkan hasil evaluasi dari platform MyApps, penelitian dilanjutkan dengan melakukan perancangan ulang untuk memperbaiki tampilan user interface agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dan selaras dengan prinsip-prinsip di literatur yang ada. Setelah rancangan dibuat dalam bentuk prototipe, usability testing kembali dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat perbandingan hasilnya dengan desain yang lama dan mengevaluasi kembali hal-hal yang masih kurang pada desain yang baru.

The jewelry industry in Indonesia has the potential to continue to grow in the future, this is due to the development priority given by the Ministry of Industry with the aim that Indonesian jewelry products can compete internationally. One of the companies engaged in this industry is PT X. Currently, this company has a target to continue to expand by increasing the number of stores in the next few years. The developments in jewelry industry and the target of increasing the number of stores are two things that have the potential to increase the complexity of data management within the company. PT X has a platform for internal data management called MyApps. With MyApps, it is hoped that this system will be able to handle the increasingly complex data management. However, based on the results of preliminary study that have been carried out, the results show that the user interface of the MyApps platform is still considered unsatisfactory for users. Therefore, research to evaluate and redesign the user interface of MyApps platform is necessary to do. The evaluation method used in this study is usability testing involving three kinds of metrics, namely performance metrics using performance measurement techniques, self-reported metrics using SEQ questionnaires and PSSUQ questionnaires, and issue-based metrics using think aloud techniques. After getting the results of the MyApps platform evaluation, the research continued with redesign to improve the appearance of the user interface to suit user needs and in accordance with the principles in the existing literature. After the design is made in the form of a prototype, usability testing is carried out again with the aim of comparing the results with the old design and re-evaluating the things that are still lacking in the new design.
