Skripsi ini meneliti kepentingan Indonesia dalam mendukung realisasi sentralitas ASEAN di kawasan Indo-Pasifik. Dinamika persaingan kekuatan antara negara-negara besar di kawasan Indo-Pasifik dapat berisiko mengganggu Indonesia dan ASEAN dalam mencapai kepentingan-kepentingannya. Dalam menghadapi tantangan tersebut, Indonesia berupaya untuk mendorong realisasi sentralitas ASEAN di Indo-Pasifik dengan cara mempelopori diskursus mengenai Indo-Pasifik di ASEAN yang berujung pada peresmian ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP). Namun, konsep sentralitas ASEAN yang menjadi inti dari AOIP merupakan konsep yang masih dipertanyakan efektivitasnya. Penelitian ini menganalisis proses pengambilan kebijakan luar negeri Indonesia dalam mendukung sentralitas ASEAN di Indo-Pasifik menggunakan kerangka analisis unit pengambil keputusan dari Margaret Hermann. Skripsi ini disusun menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif lewat studi pustaka dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tindakan Indonesia untuk mendukung konsep sentralitas ASEAN di Indo-Pasifik didasari oleh kepentingan Indonesia untuk mencapai visi menjadi negara maritim kuat yang mampu menghadapi persaingan kekuatan di kawasan Indo-Pasifik.

This study examines Indonesia's interests in supporting the realization of ASEAN centrality in the Indo-Pacific region. The dynamics of competition among major powers in the Indo-Pacific region could risk disrupting Indonesia and ASEAN in achieving their interests. In facing these challenges, Indonesia seeks to encourage the realization of ASEAN centrality in the Indo-Pacific by acting as the pioneer of the discourse on the Indo-Pacific in ASEAN which led to the inauguration of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP). However, the concept of ASEAN centrality, which is the core of the AOIP, is a concept whose effectiveness is still questionable. This study analyzes Indonesia's foreign policy-making process in supporting ASEAN centrality in the Indo-Pacific using Margaret Hermann's decision units framework. This study was written using qualitative research methods through literature study and document study. The results of this study indicate that Indonesia's actions to support the concept of ASEAN centrality in the Indo-Pacific are based on Indonesia's interests to achieve the vision of becoming a strong maritime country capable of facing major powers competition in the Indo-Pacific region.
