Sistem Rekam Medis Elektronik merupakan teknologi informasi yang paling banyak digunakan RS saat ini. Penelitian – penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan hasil yang beragam mengenai dampak implementasi RME, bahkan ditemukan fenomena paradoks produktivitas teknologi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh sistem RME terhadap produktivitas RS beserta gambaran implementasi dan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap dampak implementasi sistem RME di RS. Metode literature review naratif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan 6 literatur terpilih dengan topik terkait yang diterbitkan dalam basis data Pubmed tahun 2015 – 2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya beberapa faktor berpengaruh bagi RS dalam memutuskan untuk melakukan implementasi sistem RME antara lain kebijakan pemerintah, jumlah tempat tidur, lokasi RS, bed occupancy rate (BOR), jumlah pasien, arus kas, status rujukan, dan status RS pendidikan. Indikator produktivitas menunjukkan bahwa implementasi sistem RME dapat membawa dampak negatif pada jangka waktu pendek (kurang dari 2 tahun) dan dampak positif pada jangka waktu panjang (lebih dari 2 tahun). Adapun beberapa faktor yang dapat dikaitkan dengan tingkat produktivitas RS setelah implementasi sistem RME antara lain pendapatan dan pengeluaran RS, sumber daya manusia RS, dan kebijakan pemerintah terkait teknlogi informasi kesehatan.

Electronic Medical Record is the most widely used information technology in hospitals. Previous studies have shown mixed results regarding the impact of RME implementation, even information technology productivity paradox was found. This study aims to see the impact of EMR implementation on hospital productivity along with a description of the implementation and the factors that influence the impact of the implementation of the EMR system in hospitals. The narrative literature review method was used in this study using 6 selected literatures with related topics published in Pubmed in 2015 – 2020. The results showed that there were several influential factors for hospitals in deciding to implement the EMR system, including government policies, number of beds, hospital locations, bed occupancy rate (BOR), number of patients, cash flow, referral status, and education hospital status. Productivity indicators show that the implementation of the EMR system can have a negative impact in the short term (less than 2 years) and a positive impact in the long term (more than 2 years). There are several factors that can be related to the hospital productivity level after the implementation of the EMR system, including hospital revenues and expenses, hospital human resources, and government policies related to health information technology.
