Penderita penyakit kronis memakan biaya yang sangat banyak disebabkan oleh pengobatannya yang berlangsung lama. Namun, dengan adanya program pemerintah yaitu BPJS Kesehatan, sangat membantu masyarakat untuk meringankan biaya pengobatannya. BPJS Kesehatan menanggung semua penyakit yang tertuang dalam regulasi JKN-KIS, termasuk penyakit kronis. Tingginya peresepan obat kronis BPJS di Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia perlu menjadi perhatian khusus bagi Instalasi Farmasi RS UI dalam perencanaan dan pengadaan obat kronis sehingga dapat meminimalisir terjadinya kekosongan obat. Tugas khusus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian jumlah pengadaan dan peresepan obat kronis BPJS di farmasi rawat jalan Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia selama enam bulan terakhir yaitu pada periode Bulan Juni hingga November tahun 2022. Pembuatan tugas khusus ini diawali dengan melakukan penarikan data pengadaan dan peresepan obat krnosis BPJS pada periode Juni hingga November 2022 kemudian diolah menggunakan fitur PivotTable pada Microsoft Excel. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan, diketahui bahwa selama enam bulan terakhir yaitu dari Bulan Juni hingga November tahun 2022, Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia telah mengadakan 129 item obat kronis sebanyak 681 kali. Sebanyak 96% obat kronis BPJS yang diadakan oleh Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia pada periode Juni hingga November 2022 telah memenuhi kebutuhan minimal peresepan obat untuk pasien kronis di depo farmasi rawat jalan dan sebanyak 67% item obat yang diadakan masih perlu dilakukan optimalisasi baik dalam pengadaan maupun peresepannya.

People with chronic diseases incur significant expenses due to the prolonged duration of their treatments. However, with the existence of the government program BPJS Kesehatan (Indonesia's National Health Insurance), it greatly assists the public in alleviating the cost of their medical treatments. BPJS Kesehatan covers all diseases listed in the JKN-KIS regulations, including chronic diseases. The high prescription rate of chronic medications covered by BPJS at the University of Indonesia Hospital (Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia) needs special attention from the Pharmacy Installation to plan and procure chronic medications effectively, thus minimizing drug shortages. The specific task aims to determine the appropriateness of the quantity of procurement and prescription of BPJS-covered chronic medications at the outpatient pharmacy of the University of Indonesia Hospital during the last six months, specifically from June to November 2022. This task begins by collecting data on the procurement and prescription of BPJS-covered chronic medications during the specified period and processing it using the PivotTable feature in Microsoft Excel. Based on the results, it is found that during the last six months, from June to November 2022, the University of Indonesia Hospital procured 129 different items of chronic medications, amounting to 681 times. Approximately 96% of the BPJS-covered chronic medications procured by the hospital during this period have met the minimum prescription requirements for chronic patients in the outpatient pharmacy, while approximately 67% of the procured items still require optimization, both in terms of procurement and prescription.
