Childfree merupakan keputusan untuk tidak memiliki anak atau tidak mengambil peran menjadi orang tua. Penulisan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana stigmatisasi terhadap perempuan childfree melalui komentar atas Instagram story @gitasav sebagai bentuk kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Penulisan ini menggunakan teori feminis radikal dan teori stigmatisasi dengan analisis isi kualitatif terhadap komentar tidak mendukung pilihan childfree perempuan pada unggahan akun Instagram @linetoday. Penulis mengidentifikasi sejumlah komentar menstigma berdasarkan komponen-komponen stigma Link dan Phelan (2001): labelling, stereotyping, separation, dan discrimination. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa akar dari stigmatisasi terhadap perempuan childfree adalah konstruksi seksualitas perempuan, sistem seks/gender patriarki, dan heteronormativitas. Ketiga konstruksi turunan patriarki ini menjadi dasar lahirnya motherhood mandate bagi perempuan. Mandat ini telah terinternalisasi dalam norma-norma sosial sehingga pengaruhnya semakin kuat di masyarakat. Akibatnya, perempuan childfree mengalami diskriminasi dari masyarakat. Stigmatisasi terhadap perempuan childfree merupakan bentuk kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Di mana perempuan korban mengalami penderitaan, pemaksaan, dan perampasan kemerdekaan karena identitas biologis mereka sebagai perempuan. Stigmatisasi sebagai kekerasan terhadap perempuan memengaruhi semua perempuan dengan merampas kebebasan dan kadaulatan perempuan atas tubuhnya sendiri. Dalam hal ini, stigma menjadi alat yang digunakan untuk melanggengkan kekuasaan dan kontrol laki-laki atas perempuan dan tubuh perempuan.

Childfree is a decision not to have children or take the role of a parent. This writing aims to understand how stigmatization against childfree-woman through comments on @gitasav’s Instagram story can constitute violence against women. This writing utilizes the radical feminism and stigmatization theory with qualitative content analysis of comments that do not support women’s choice for childfree on the Instagram post of @linetoday. The writer identified several stigmatizing comments according to components of stigma by Link and Phelan (2001): labeling, stereotyping, separation, and discrimination. The result shows that this stigmatization is rooted from the construction of women's sexuality, patriarchy's sex/gender system, and heteronormativity. These patriarchy-derived constructions became the base of the emergence of the motherhood mandate. This mandate was internalized into social norms which strengthen its influence in society. The effect of that stigmatization is discrimination suffered by childfree women. Stigmatization of childfree-women is violence against women where they receive suffering, coercion, and deprivation of liberty because of their biological identity as women. Stigmatization as violence against women affects every woman by taking their sovereignty towards their body. In this case, stigma became a tool to perpetuate the power and control of men towards women and women's bodies.
