Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia merupakan badan pelaksana pemerintah di bidang kesehatan yang memiliki peran besar dalam upaya pembangunan kesehatan yakni melalui perumusan, penetapan, dan pelaksanaan kebijakan di bidang kesehatan. Salah satu Direktorat Jenderal di bawah Kementerian Kesehatan yang berperan dalam upaya peningkatan pelayanan kefarmasian adalah Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan yang membawahi Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian. Direktorat ini memiliki tugas melaksanakan penyiapan perumusan dan pelaksanaan kebijakan, dan penyusunan norma, standar, prosedur, kriteria (NSPK), serta pemberian bimbingan teknis dan evaluasi di bidang pelayanan kefarmasian. Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian membawahi empat subdirektorat antara lain Subdirektorat Farmasi Klinik, Subdirektorat Farmasi Komunitas, Subdirektorat Penggunaan Obat Rasional dan Subdirektorat Standarisasi. Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker di Direktorat ini dilakukan mulai tanggal 15 hingga 26 Juli 2013 dimana dari kegiatan ini diperoleh pengetahuan mengenai peran Apoteker di Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian yang sesuai dengan tugas dan fungsinya menurut Permenkes RI No. 1144/Menkes/Per/VIII/2010. Adapun program kerja yang sedang berjalan di Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian dan dilaksanakan oleh Sub Direktorat Farmasi Komunitas dan Sub Direktorat Penggunaan Obat Rasional yaitu pembuatan software PIO, menyelenggarakan advokasi ke perguruan tinggi mengenai peran dan fungsi Apoteker di Puskesmas, menyelenggarakan PPOR dan CBIA.

One of the General Directorate under the Ministry of Health that play a role in improving pharmacy services is the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices in charge of the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services. The Directorate has the task of carrying out the preparation of the formulation and implementation of policies, and the preparation of norms, standards, procedures, criteria ( NSPK ), as well as providing technical guidance and evaluation in the field of pharmacy services. Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services oversees four Subdirektorat among others Subdirektorat Clinical Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy Sub-Directorate, Sub-Directorate of Rational Use of Drugs and Standardisation Sub-Directorate. Pharmacist at Practice Directorate was conducted from March 15 to July 26, 2013 which of these activities acquired knowledge about the role of pharmacists in the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services in accordance with the duties and functions under the Minister of Health of Republic of 1144/Menkes/Per/VIII/2010. The ongoing work program in the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services and implemented by Sub- Directorate Community Pharmacy and Sub Directorate of Rational Drug Use are PIO software development, organized advocacy to college on the role and functions of pharmacists in health centers, organized PPOR and CBIA.
