ABSTRAKSkripsi ini merupakan studi mengenai peran tata cahaya pada fasad restoran dan pengaruhnya terhadap citra restoran. Fasad pada bangunan restoran merupakan elemen pada bangunan yang pertama kali dilihat dari para pengunjung. Elemen pada fasad diharapkan mampu menarik perhatian orang di sekitar dan juga calon pengunjung sehingga bersedia berkunjung ke tempat itu. Selain itu fasad menjadibagian yang dapat mengkomunikasikan citra yang ingin ditampilkan oleh pemilik restoran. Lalu bagaimana peran tata cahaya sebagai elemen pada fasad. Penulisan karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk memahami tentang peran tata cahaya pada fasad terhadap citra sebuah restoran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalahkajian teori, kajian literatur, dan observasi lapangan pada studi kasus. Observasi dilakukan dengan wawancara dengan pihak pengelola restoran dan rekaman foto. Wawancara dan izin observasi dilakukan kepada pengelola toko sebagai narasumber.

ABSTRACTThis thesis is a study about role of lighting on the restaurant?s facade and its influence on the image of the restaurant. The facade of the restaurant is an element of the building that first seen by the visitors. Facade is expected to attract the attention of people around and also attract potential visitors to visit the place. Facade can be the way to communicate the image of the restaurant to potential visitors. Then what about the role of lighting as an element in the facade. This scientific writing aimed at understanding the role of lighting on the facade and its influence to the image of a restaurant. The method used in this research is the study of theory, literature review, and field observations on a case study. Observations carried out with an interviewwith the manager of the restaurant and recorded images. Interviews and observations conducted permit the managers of the store as a resource.
