Seiring dengan waktu, pembangunan di kota-kota besar bergeser kearah vertikal dengan sistem ventilasi buatan. Hal tersebut berdasarkan berbagai penelitian dapat meningkatkan resiko Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) di gedunggedung dimaksud. Kantor Pusat PT. X berada di Gedung Y dengan karakteristik demikian. Tesis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas udara dalam ruangan, karakteristik umum pekerja, dan kejadian SBS di Kantor Pusat PT. X. Berdasarkan penelitian beberapa parameter kualitas udara seperti CO2, kelembaban, dan ventilation rate tidak memenuhi Standar. Didapatkan juga beberapa kasus mirip SBS seperti iritasi mata (16.13 %) dan kelelahan (13.98 %). Kejadian SBS kemungkinan merupakan hasil interkoneksi berbagai faktor termasuk kualitas udara dan karakteristik responden.
Recently development of big city has been swifted to vertical development with artificial ventilation. According to vast amount of research that situation could lead to Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) cases. The Headquarter of PT. X located at Y Building has that charasteristic. This Theses aims on knowing indoor air quality (IAQ), workers? characteristics and SBS cases in The Headquarter of PT. X. According to this research some parameters e.g. CO2, relative humidity and ventilation rate are out of standards. Some cases has also been found, e.g. eye irritation (16.13 %) and fatigue (13.98 %). These cases may be a result of many factors including IAQ and workers? characteristics.
