Penelitian ini membahas tentang pelaksanaan media relations di Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan dalam mensosialisasikan program dan kebijakan kementerian, serta bagaimana peran Humas di dalamnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis, pendekatan kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam dan studi kepustakaan/ literatur.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Humas telah dapat melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan media relations dengan baik, di mana dalam hal ini Humas telah menjalankan perannya sebagai teknisi komunikasi dan fasilitator komunikasi. Namun, pelaksanaan fungsi media relations itu sendiri belum dinilai maksimal sebab Humas belum dapat menjalankan perannya sebagai sumber informasi dengan baik.
This study discusses the implementation of media relations at Ministry of Education and Culture in socializing programs and policies, as well as examining the importance of PR. This study utilizes constructivist paradigm and descriptive qualitative approach. In-depth interviews and literature studies have been selected as the main methods of data collection.The result of this study demonstrates how PR has been able successful in performing various activities of media relations, in which PR has been delegated to act as communication technician and facilitator of communication. However, the implementation of media relations's function is yet to be at its best since PR has not been performing up to par as a source of information.
