Penelitian ini membahas cost reduction dan manfaat penggunaan gas CO2). Salah satu proses yang dianggap dapat memberikan dampak cost reduction adalah proses pengelasan. Secara harga, gas argon bisa mencapai dua sampai tiga kali lipatnya gas CO2 dan secara proses, baik dengan menggunakan campuran argon dan CO2 (argoshield) ataupun hanya dengan CO2 murni dapat dilakukan. Penulis mencoba untuk menganalisa nilai biaya dan manfaat yang ditimbulkan jika material gas CO2 murni digunakan pada proses pengelasan di perusahaan sepeda motor. Hasil penelitian memberikan pertimbangan bagi PT. X mengenai biaya proses, manfaat penghematan biaya dan terhadap lingkungan yang ditimbulkan.

This research discusses the benefits of cost reduction and the use of CO2). One of the considered process can provide cost reduction effect is the process of welding.
