Telah dilakukan penelitian efek androgenik dari Talinum racemosurn Rohrb, menggunakan metode pertumbuhan jerigger anak ayam.Inf us Talinum racemosum Rohrb dibenikan kepada sekelompokanak ayam jantan jenis Leghorn putih. secara oral selama 10 hariberturut-turut dengan pembanding suspensi Metiltestosterondalam air.Efek androgenik dinyatakan seoagai respon yaitu perbandingan antara berat jengger (mg).dan berat badan (g)dari masing-masinq anak ayam pada akhir percobaan.Tujuan penelitian mi adalah untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya efek androgenik dari Talinum racemosum Rohrb;Infus lalinum racernosum RohTb dengan kadar lx dosis manusiamembenikan nespon rata-. rata 28,11 %. Infus Talinum racemosumdengan kadar 3x dosis manusia membenikan respon rata-rata29,63 %. infus Talinurn racemosum Rohrb dengan kadar lOx dosismanusia rnembenikan respon rata-rata 40,19 %.Tika penelitian mi hendak dilanjutkan sebaiknya dilakukanisolasi dan identifikasi zat yang berkhasiat androgenikdari akar Talinum racemosum Rohrb.

Ire infusion of iclinuni racemosum iohrb is. given .to a

group of male chicken of white-Leghorn species orally for ten

days successively, with suspension of methyltestosteron in

water as the standard.

Androgenic effect is expressed as response viz ratio

of comb weight and body weight (mgAg) ot each chicken in the

end of the experiment.
