ibu hamil dengan asfiksia bayi baru lahir, nilai OR = 4,9 (95% CI:2,3 ? 10,7), berarti ibu
Perlunya dilakukan
penyuluhan terhadap ibu hamil tentang pentingnya mengkonsumsi Tablet Tambah Darah
(TTD) selama kehamilan dan pemeriksaan kadar Hb ibu.

ABSTRACT
Asphyxia is one of major health problems in newborn and often ended up with
neonatal death. There are many risk factors for birth asphyxia and one of the risk factor is
anemia in pregnancy. The purpose of this study is to assess anemia in pregnancy as a risk
factor for birth asphyxia in Fatmawati General Hospital in 2012-2013, using a matched
1:1 ratio case-control study design. The matching variable is gestational age. The sample
is 103 newborn with history of birth asphyxia and its mother as cases. Controls are 103
newborns without asphyxia who were born in Fatmawati General Hospital in 2013.
Matched in gestational age. Data analysis used conditional logistic regression. The result
showed more pregnant women with history of anemia in pregnancy in cases (71.4%) be
delivered for birth asphyxia. Adjusted odds ratio for anemia in pregnancy as risk factor
for birth asphyxia is 4.9 with 95% confidence interval of 2.3-10.9, means women with
history of anemia in pregnancy had had 4.9 times the risk of giving birth asphyxia
compared with women with history of no anemia in Fatmawati General Hospital, 2012-
2013. Therefore we suggested hemoglobin testing for pregnant women and counseling
for iron tablet supplementation during pregnancy., Asphyxia is one of major health problems in newborn and often ended up with
